I bought a new Tundra last week and now noticed bubbles in paint.

What should I do? Reach out to Toyota first or dealership? There are imperfections all over the truck near the bottom sections. :(

Mine has that too on the bottom panels. I think it’s by design to protect it from road debris and snow, mud, etc. I could be wrong?

It is by design. Meant to help protect against rock chips. If you stand back you will see a distinct line where it stops and the paint goes back to smooth.

It's not just orange peel. It has a thicker type of undercoat to help with rock impact.

Think of it as PPF in the paint.

Thanks for the relies y’all :) I feel better now knowing that it’s by design.

Same here. Doing a thorough inspection before leaving dealership I noticed it. Walked around and looked at other tundras and it's intentional.

It is the rocker guard paint from the factory. It's basically rubberized undercoating under the paint to minimize rock chipping, which is a good thing. Regular orange peel in the paint can be buffed out; this is not orange peel.

I know a 1981 car I owned had chip guard on the rockers. That's quite a few years that stuff has been out there in use.

Just wait till you notice the color difference in the low afternoon direct sun!... That under coating (for the rock protection) must be yellowish because on my Magnetic Grey Metallic platinum, It looks lighter and yellower in the paint coloring. On white Tundra's, it can be very noticeable...But it is what it is, at least it helps with the chips!
