Part out DC bed in phantom gray pearl?

This is a long shot but does anyone have any leads on a clean rust free bed for a phantom gray pearl DC anywhere near east Tn? The rear passenger area was impaled this morning by mother nature and the brute force bumper and tire swing out saved it from being much worse and totally saved my camper shell. When it came in contact with the bumpers, it just slid the truck instead of further damaging the truck. I haven't even turned it into insurance yet so I don't know what they'll pay but if I can find a nice bed cheaper than a body shop will fix it then I may go that route.

We just drove from Knoxville to Boone, NC last weekend to pick up a double cab bed.

    Check https://www.car-part.com/mobile/index.htm

It's not going to be easy to find a clean, double cab bed that's also color matched. The guys at the junkyard told us that 1st gen parts are going for a premium. The bed he found was $1,500.

Thanks for the tip! I always forget about that site. I just looked and I found a couple ranging from $1,500 to $1775 that are exact matches. Hopefully insurance pays out a lot more than that and then I can just get a new bed and put the extra money towards some of the parts I've been looking to buy.

Ouch. I mean, in his case, finding one w/o the factory flares was hen's teeth. But I see beds down here in ATL going for $375-750 on average. Color-match would be on the high end of that.
Just hope they don't total you out.

Also, there are a lot of people parting out First gens on Facebook but I rarely see beds that aren't beat to hell. And you'd have to deal with the mouth breathers on Facebook.

This is surprising to me. They aren't beat to shit at that price? John looked pretty hard and didn't see any close to that.

No flares may have been the issue. I found a bunch with flares for sale. Even a maroon one in Nashville.

Just going by what comes across CL as "parts trucks", not using Car-Part. I haven't checked through the website to see what's available locally.

I've posted a couple of nicer-looking beds (where it's just a bed for sale) on here when they were under $400. But it's totally random, just like trying to find shells.

Still possibly available. Not sure on price, minor damage near cab by the pics.

John said that you can still buy a new bed from Toyota which surprised me. $3,000.

If it was painted to match OEM, that would actually be a pretty good deal IMHO.

    @FrenchToasty
Luckily the piece of wood stuck out just enough to punch through my tail light and cave in the very top corner of my bed before it got into anything else. I think I can buff out the scrapes on my camper shell but when the main chunk hit the bumper it just slid the truck.

If that's the extent of the damage, I would repair the existing bed.

I've got no clue what's possible when it comes to fixing vehicles. I don't want it to look like it's been hammered out and body lines don't look right but if someone can get it looking good then I'd be perfectly fine with them fixing it.

I'm guessing $1500-1800 to fix that. Might be worth paying out of pocket rather than reporting to insurance. I would swing by a few body shops for estimates first.

Toyota of Knoxville did a good job fixing our RAV4 last year when my wife had an oopsie. Damage wasn't as bad as yours. They had the vehicle about 1 month.

If it’s a good bed and you want it, I work up there occasionally and could potentially get the bed to Little Rock area. Save you 9 hours of your trip.
