Got a question for the guys who have ARB bumpers on a 2014–2021 Tundra. Can you easily remove and replace the grille insert and surround AFTER install? I just bought my 2018 1794 and have ordered an ARB, but am undecided whether I want to spend ~$700 to replace the ungodly blingy chrome grille insert and surround with the honeycomb insert and color matched trim. I know the surround has to be trimmed during install, and that’s no problem, but I was hoping I could have the bumper installed and then see how bad it looks before deciding how to proceed.

because I am also considering replacing the grill/surround on my 1794 at the same time that I get an aftermarket front bumper, I would love it if you did exactly what you've outlined AND took pictures of how good/bad/passable/not it looks for the rest of us.

FWIW - I took the front grill off when I installed a FRAC harness & camera, and it was a bitch to get off, I broke one of the long tabs. But there was nothing about that process with the stock bumper that made me think an aftermarket bumper would make it impossible.

Interesting.... I've pulled mine a handful of times and a few others and I would not classify it as a bitch on a stock front end. Even with most bumpers that just have a bullbar it really doesn't add to the difficulty, you just have to carefully pull it away and line it up due to the bullbar being close.

For the ARB, from their posted images, I would think the surround/grille can not be removed once that front bumper is installed (assuming their big one that covers the whole front). But I'll definitely defer to anyone that has it since I'm just going off pictures.

Maybe I'm a wimp haha I hated doing it & even after watching several videos on how to remove it correctly I still managed to snap one of those long tabs!

I wasn't trying to say that. Maybe its cause I've now done it a few times that it just seems easy to me and I might have had a different opinion the first time. Removing the insert from the surround, that can be a bear though! The first one i did took me a few days cause I kept walking away after breaking clips and getting frustrated.

Unknown at this time. Here are the images from the installation manual. It's hard to tell.
