I’ve heard good things about this one. Let us know what you think after a few months. As always, I would recommend you start your learning process by beginning with some of your old cheap knives.

I've done a couple old pocket knives so far. It seems decent. The 25 degree seems like the best angle for the working pocket knives.

I have an old kitchen knife I'm trying next at 15 degrees.

My @gosolo knife shall be done the old school way with a whetstone and honing rods for the time being.

It did take quite a while to get there. Hung up at customs for a bit. Plus, shipping was considerably more than usual.
I described it as ‘kitchen cutlery’ for the manifest.

Kitchen test on the turkey showed a few things..IMG_0691.jpgEven if you have an ideal chef’s knife, it isn’t necessarily the best choice for a carving knife, lol.

I've had this Boker for over two years and carry it daily. It's AUS-8 steel. Keeps an edge pretty well.

Just like all my other knives it gets used. Always cleans up nice. I cut lots of cardboard, plastic shipping straps, plant material, plastic, etc. For me it's a multi tool.

Just sharpened it up with the old Lansky system. Not sure what I was hacking into recently but it had a bunch of black adhesive residue on it. Maybe double sided tape or something.

Good knife. The Project Farm review made me realize that a Benchmade isn't worth it for my needs - there are better performing options for less $.

I like to use a quick spray of carburetor cleaner and a wipe down with a paper towel for removal of adhesive residue. It usually does the job pretty quick.

    nice looking “utility” knife!

This knife has intrigued me over the past couple of years... It was included with a Ruger Redhawk my Mother in Law handed over to me that was her Uncles. He passed a number of years ago and according to Ruger the gun is circa 1996

Upon close inspection it has what appears to be the name Roger Wold hand etched in one end and Box Elder SD in the other. Since that was not her Uncles name I've always wondered what the back story to this knife was.

A brief Google search tuned up an obit for a Roger Wold in Balic SD which is about 350mi from Box Elder.

Id be inclined to return it to the Wold family if I could confirm lineage of Roger.

    Jerry,
It’s probably nothing to worry about but I have always made sure that the serial numbers were not legible on any guns I posted on the internet.
It just seems like a reasonable caution.

Had a modder I know put a couple mokume scales through a patina, pretty happy with the results. These are going to look killer when complete! Both are getting dlc coated damasteel blades

pretty interesting to see how the patina was different between the scales despite being made of the same material

I just got this one etched. The core layer is Shirogami Super White #1. The outer cladding is 208 layer Damascus. I added 2 layers of pure nickel separated with a layer of 1084 on each side. Hopefully I can finish this knife with out any screw ups.IMG_0759.jpg IMG_0757.jpg
