I've only used all wheel steering on large industrial forklifts with the larger size wheels. If a car company gets the functionality right that would be bad ass. Wonder if there will be a crab walk function on the cyber truck? Its a pretty useful maneuver, coupled with a good 360 camera that would be amazing.

I've said it in here before, but EV's don't have a range problem. Generally, good EV's go just as far as ICE vehicles on a single charge (or farther if a Tundra is the comparison ). We have an infrastructure issue. There aren't any chargers, except for Tesla. You would have the same issue with ICE vehicles if there weren't any gas stations around. The vehicle is only as good as the infrastructure that can keep it juiced/fueled up!

    I was pondering something similar

all this talk about diminishing range as an ev ages.

    so does an ICE

and range not meeting stated range- hell, no ICE meets stated range

But.....a lot of folks can't charge at home. A lot. A LOT. Not most people. People that own a home, that can afford the hook up cost, can charge at home. Just adding some clarification.

My 12 year old 07 Tundra, which was well taken care of, didn't have diminishing range syndrome at all. Still burned Dino at the same rate which was a lot. Most ICE manufacturers lie a tad about mpg's. Nothing new there.

I thought there was a page for battery health. Maybe guys are just charging to 100% and seeing what the range is and do the math compared to range when new??

Rule of thumb with rechargeables used to be...never let the charge go below 20% and charge up to 80% to prolong battery health.

Think on “Tessie” (not an official Tesla app, and from what I heard isn’t as accurate) you can also check it in service mode, or via your app in service request
I just did it via the link, but only got this:

Exactly what I was going to say. Not everyone can charge at home or can justify the install of a charger.

However, I’d say there is a large portion of EV owners that charge at home. The demand for public refueling for EV’s is less than the demand for ICE vehicles at gas stations. How many people fill up their vehicles with gas/diesel at home? Not many….

I'm still trying to get 600 miles out of a tank of fuel in my '21 Pro... :ballchain: It fights me though:duel:

Fortunately, these trucks are smart enough to make some adjustments in those original calculation (I think on my first fill-up I give me a 609 mile range )... Now it displays a range in the 400s. I'm thinking it may be smarter than a Tesla :D

In reality, 80% of EV charging is done at home—almost always overnight—or while a car is parked during the workday. So how easy it is to live with an electric car depends in part on how easy it is to juice up at home or at the office and how much it costs in those places.

so that 20% of folks that remote charge are a consideration. I'll wager a large % of that group is apartment dwellers.

which has me pondering...what's the big stink over charging? if it's because of extended road trips, Tesla has you covered. all this tells me the GOV wants you to NOT see what you are seeing. That is - the free market has done a fantastic job of creating EV infrastructure without Gov mgt.

    82% charge limit = 257 miles.

= 313 miles @100%...if my math is right.

am I degraded? looks like it.

yes, I have the fart button on quick draw.
