Santa Wants To See Your Holiday Spirit... Decorations Thread!!!

Truck tree installed!

(this was previously posted, but not everyone follows that group chat)

 

I went simple and just hung some icicle lights. I had to buy 2 strings of lights and had to plug them in separately so I could center them and make the overlap happen in the front. Took me way too long to figure that out.

Now my wife wants garland and shit.

 

I'm guessing she's gonna get garland and shit

No oil paints here... either water colors or acrylics and when the "Process" hits , mixed mediums.... anything goes..

We will probably have added to the "Collection" by next year as I have to finish the renovations; 2nd bath complete gut & Kitchen / dining room

complete gut...and will have miscellaneous lumber pieces..

 

I'll just leave this here for inspiration.... it's a few years old, so it has some wear

 

Golf cart lost The Mafia touch for the holidays with a quick flag change out...

And with the extra greenery from the Tree farm Con got creative and "Swagged " my Sno-shoe and made the wreath for the house front window..

 

That snow shoe is cool the holly is a nice touch
Do people down there even know what a snow shoe is?

 

The New Hampshire Tag on the golf cart gives a subtle hint BUT being rawhide covered Ash with the builders name still "Burnt" into the shoes

gives the neighbors "Talking points"... that Shoe-maker is now resting in

"God's Country" but his "Lil store on the corner of Rt.16 and the Kancamagus

highway in NH was always bustling; he built both Con's & my shoes and I still have the last set of leather bindings he made custom for those

shoes

Our street is a "Clever mixing bowl" of transplants; Detroit, Mi , Rhode Island , Cambridge, Ma and more than few from NH and Vermont..

 

This is what I got so far, the wife always wants more so I'm sure it will change soon lol. We got a 12 foot Santa and sleigh inflatable I got to get on the roof still...

They are just jealous because Santa lives in Canada.

 

North Pole is actually in Alaska (just southeast of Fairbanks)

 

Found this blue spruce in the woods yesterday and it was about perfect...

 

Ah Alaska, “let’s name this place that’s nowhere near the North Pole, North Pole, that will fool them!”

 

I love the lights but I am sure I'd burn my truck to the ground if I tried. I don't play with the angry arc-y sparky stuff.

Thanks. I have a few more trees decorated but the lighting is poor right now. We too, love the simplicity of a frame life. Easy living on acreage was the trade off from convenience of town. We couldn't be happier.

 

Simple since we have a newborn and 4 other kids makes my time limited
