    Wow! I hate to see that! Glad you're ok physically, insurance can be a beatdown. years ago I was hit at a redlight while stopped behind the line...even had a police officer inform the insurance companies of that fact but they still wanted me to take a portion of the blame for the accident. You have video proof you were hit and I assume they are doing the same game with you.

    The one thing they’ve done right so far is accept full responsibility. My main concern at this point is if the dude is insured enough to fix my truck, pay for months of me in a rental, and cover the total loss of that bronco sport that he flicked out in front of me

    I let my insurance handle everything when my 07 got rear-ended. I personally would not even think of letting the perp's insurance handle anything. This wasn't your fault. Let your insurance go to bat for you. :thumbsup:

    Yup. @Squatting Pigeon I'd be involving your insurance for two reasons. First, as Matt said, they will go to bat to get the other guy's insurance to pay up. Second, if the other guy is lacking in coverage then you have already started the process of getting your insurance to cover the remainder. Then they can go for him or his insurance to get reimbursed after you have been made whole.

    Got my insurance involved and they started the ball rolling. Truck is at a body shop in OK where they started the tear down estimating process yesterday.

    Welp, things are not looking good.
    Body shop estimator said the LCA took so much of an impact that it tore the frame where they connect. He also said the bed was knocked out of square by at least “1.5, so the frame is twisted somewhere around the middle. :(
