Pulled into the garage saturday night and noticed a trail behind the vehicle of something that was leaking. Crawled under and noticed transmission fluid. Called the dealer Monday morning and was able to bring it the same day. Warranty is taking care of it but was a bit disappointed to have an "issue" right at 14k miles.

Coolant is 50% glycol, which is oily, too. Especially, when water evaporates.

But that looks more like ATF to me.

I damaged my sense of smell by Amsoil ATF long ago when doing drain&fill in an enclosed concrete coffin they call "a garage" in Boston suburbs.

It's been two weeks now. Called the dealer on Monday and they are waiting on a seal. Said it was leaking between the engine and electric motor. The manager said Toyota advised them to change the module as well (whatever that means). They must be working on it right now because I keep getting alerts that my truck is unlocked.

Picked up my truck yesterday. They replaced the seal and the electric motor.

Is that a hybrid? My dealership said Toyota told them to change the entire electric motor.

I talked the service manager at my dealership last week when I was having my rear differential looked at, and I asked him what issues he’s been seeing lately with these 3rd gens. He told me lots of turbo issues still on the 22’s, more than we know about, and transmission issues on the hybrids. Said my ‘24 is the first he’s seen with the differential issue but suspects more will be popping up…

I had the same issue, trans fluid leak and it was between the hybrid unit and transmission. They clearly stated it’s a known problem. The dealer had my truck 28 days waiting on parts. There’s another thread covering this. They had to replace the hybrid unit and so far it hasn’t leaked again. My truck had low mileage also.

Has the replacement hybrid motor fixed the issue, no more oil leak?

Just noticed it on my '23 hybrid as well, at 11k miles

Noticed a trail of oily substance into garage and puddle on garage floor. Contacted 2 dealers and neither would acknowledge an issue with hybrids leaking between electric motor and Trans. Nearest dealer cannot get it in until the 30th for evaluation so had to get a rental for at least a week. Bought new and truck has 33k on it.

Update: service advisor says there are 2 seals being replaced which should be in tomorrow. For the guys that have this issue, did anyone else just have the seals replaced and did it solve the problem?
