Guessing you are talking about Cameron Hanes? I’m a big fan of his, and didn’t know that went down. Dumbasses.

I’m all about voting with your wallet. It’s your hard earned money. Companies that are dead to us- Nike, proctor and gamble, Pfizer, Patagonia, Blackrock. Sometimes big companies are just too disgusting to support financially with a clear conscience.

More reasons my tundra sits untouched and being only a beast of burden…

I’m doing a bare minimum rebuild ish on this 2.7 1ar from a venza.. balance shafts deleted too. Got the ring off the crank as well (rings balanced separate y from the crank far as we can tell across the others we’ve played with. So cranks still balanced) need to get 8 exhaust valves. They’re pitted beyond saving. But new rings, head gasket, and those valves are all that’s planned. Pairing it with the e153 transmission I rebuilt last week. Going in the black 93 mr2…. [IMG][IMG][IMG]This was a burning like mofo 2.7 I got for free. Fingers crossed it doesn’t burn when I’m done with it lol. Might make 200whp without cams. As long as I’m over 170 I’m happy. Going to run the stock sw20 muffler, and a Camry catalytic for maximum effect of “quiet but still faster than a stock turbo”

the cars going from a 80hp at the wheels autotragic to a ~170-200 (no one’s tested this exact combo yet) “sleeper”eventuallyit’s getting boost though

Mark my words, some boutique overlanding supply business will eventually come out with a lazy susan spice rack that will also pull double duty as a vertical capstan winch. The best (worst?) part is there will be a bunch of toyota owners who will be suckered into buying one.

Couldn't remember the name, as this was years ago, but I was pretty sure it was a woman. Did some google and that guy (Hanes) left to start his own line of products. His choice I guess?.

The one I'm talking about is how they fired Sarah Bowmar because her husband, who was not sponsored, did a black bear spear hunt.

    It wasn't you that labeled.

To be clear, I have no ill feelings toward Shifty, either. We've had some great conversations via PM in the past, and we are both adult enough to agree to disagree. Doesn't impact my feelings toward the man. He's a good guy who would give the shirt off his back to somebody in need.

I had to store it for winter. Way too cold and snow is well beyond my dork skills.

I was gonna ask if you've gotten to take it through any slush yet.

i'd be SOL. After not getting any rain for a couple months, it was too slick to leave the neighborhood after a sprinkle. Got to do a pretty decent rolling burnout trying to climb out of the gully though.

Look at my tires. I'd die if I tried it on snow/ice/slush. Those tires don't like anything with less traction than asphalt. They skitter a little even on dirt/gravel.

Going back to the dork bike, it was said in that thread that the OP was a known entity. My curiosity is killing me. Was that anyone I would have known? PM would be fine if not wanting it public.

Just saw this... my truck had an identical issue for years before I bought the truck. Lights would endlessly flicker over bumps, no matter how hard you slammed the doors. Multiple mechanics couldn't figure out what was wrong electrically, so the fuse was pulled to prevent battery drain.

The fix ended up being a combo of a few things:

    - The rubber door stoppers were permanently squished down (or missing) from years of being slammed shut, especially on the access doors, allowing the doors to wiggle a bit
    - The door switch itself was wearing out from also being slammed thousands of times, it wouldn't turn off the lights unless it was pressed in further than normal
    - The upper latch on the rear door would get sticky, especially in the cold. It wouldn't fully latch, causing the top of the door to wiggle in/out a bit and make the lights flicker

It seems like you've got your issue solved, but I couldn't help but add this. Just sounded absolutely identical to my issue and taking a 2 minute look at those three things might save some headache.

I haven't got to ride in over a month. I left my work truck on site and rode everyday for about 2 weeks, but it was in the 50s in the mornings. Now it's in the 30s.

When you do end up buying your own router make sure that it is compatible with your ISP otherwise it won't be able to work with your modem.

And you don't really need to replace it every year. It's just that technology advances quickly. You don't need to replace your phone every year either but some do to get the newest technology.

In my opinion the best set up is getting a wireless router that is MESH compatible and then buying the extender that will work with the MESH router. It ensures whole house coverage if you have any dead spots. For an example, this is what have set up with Charter Spectrum as my ISP.

    Router - https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax72-pro/
    Extender (MESH) - https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/range-extender/re500x/

Edit: I also use my own modem. I bought a Motorolla modem that was compatible.

My highs are in the 30s. Mornings are around 10°-20° and there is snow on the ground. Maybe if I had killer tires and a bunch of heated gear I'd brave it, but not with my mesh jacket and stock tires. LOL

Yeah, I was in full thermals, regular clothes, hoodie, jacket with liner, coveralls, balaclava, and was still freezing at 40° overcast and highway speeds. 50° is about my lowest now.

My doors rattle on bumps and I figured it was the 20 year old rubber needing replacement. When I hit a big bump my touch screen dies.

Got pics. Looks good, black. Just ordered the bed bolts but didn’t have my crap together, should’ve ordered during BF sale. Oh well.

Photos look good, but many were small/blurry. The area I was concerned with looks fantastic for an 06.

Gonna see if I can drag @FirstGenVol with me and then shove it in his front yard like a Christmas tree.

If i got the corp. it would all get shut down except for maybe 50 people making high quality, hand made, bespoke tennis shoes, driving shoes, motorcycle boots, & matching gloves. All those chinese kids can go help farmers or whatever... if we're gonna sponser someone it wont be superstars. Not even top level. Homebuilt race team, local high school team, maybe a decent local band...

we would call the gloves 'bitch mittens'
