This is my first Tundra, and although I do love the truck, it has annoying defects, mainly sound related. I have taken it to the dealer for some of them but it’s such a headache. One of the main ones that annoys the crap out of me is a very loud rattling sound coming from the rear seat area, generally when the road isn’t the smoothest. I’ve tried everything I can think of and still haven’t figured out what actually causes it. My best guess at this point is something with the rear window and/or how it’s connected with the rear seat but again I have no idea in reality. The site won’t let me post my video. I asked the dealer once and they just suggested I listen to loud music lol. Not sure if anyone else has noticed the same issue.

Go to another dealer, if they can't replicate the issue ask to drive with their tech to show it to them.

Does your issue happen when rear window is opened? If yes then it's a known issue with the bed rattling - no fix available by dealer, but I think there may be a possible fix on this forum by one of the members. You can also get tonneau cover as it will put weight on it and probably will silence it. My noise went away after installing camper shell.

If noise also happens when rear window is closed, try to rattle it around to see if maybe window isn't well mounted in the track... Try to lower it slightly and try to move it again. My window is very well placed in the track and doesn't move at all.

    Good luck

I have a bed cover as well, but the weird part is it sounds like it is coming from the inside. I’ve tried lowering the window all the way, halfway, etc. I even removed the headrests, lowered the seats flat, still no luck. I’ll pay more attention to the window again and definitely be more persistent at the dealer. Appreciate the reply.

Figured out what it was making vibrating noise in rear seat…
I took off the drivers side rear trim behind the seat (covering the subwoofer) and the nose stopped.
Going to put some additional padding behind to stop the vibration.
