How do people get up in these things? I wonder that for much smaller 6" lifts.

 

Looks great! Can you give us some details on that lift and tire combo?

 

My 1st full sized pickup still at the lot. From a '93 4x4 Truck, 07 TRD Sport, to trading my '18 Chevy Colorado Z71 Diesel for this.

 

I came from a ‘15 Canyon with the 3.6. Similar set of trucks in the past. How did you like that 2.8? I was always really curious about that engine. You will love your new truck!

 

I really was impressed with that truck. I got at least 30 mpg on the hwy and always at least 500 miles on a tank. I just replaced the Diesel Particulate Sensor which was $900. I figured sooner or later the DP filter would need to be replaced which would be around 2k. I decided on getting the Tundra over the Silverado 1500 with the 3 liter Duramax. Today's diesel prices along with def fluid made the decision easy!

 

I was really interested in the 3.0 GM, all the DEF and emissions stuff scared me away. One thing I think is that the GM twins mid sized trucks are the best thing going in that class. Looking forward to the ‘24 Tacoma to see how it does.

I think you are going really enjoy the Tundra, the room and power are great.

 

the hard part with the new tacoma limited (mini version of our platinum) is the pricing. the non HV version litely optioned is 55k only 8k less than what we paid for our platinum. once pricing for the HV version comes out to come close in power specs of our tundra non HV, you will be looking at maybe 4-5k difference than what we paid for our non HV platinum. only benefit we would get from the tacoma is that it would actually fit in the garage and you get full time 4wd in the tacoma but you lose alot of front seating hip room and spacing between passengers, and rear seat room.

otherwise, the tacoma limited is feature to feature exact as our platinum (avs, hud, auto boards (minus the rear auto step), heated steering, heated vented seats, jbl big screen, etc)

even the wife has kinda fallen out of grace with the new tacoma since the price is a wash to match the platinum. will have to wait a few years after production of the taco and tundra plat to where we want to go.

 

You can add on the manual bed step according to the Toyota configurator, but that step looks way low...

Ya I hear you that price. The new Colo/Can can stretch into the 50’s also with the ZR2 package. Makes the Tundra look like a real value now. I am just gonna settle in to this truck and drive the hell outta of this for the 8-10 years.

 

Picked up a bit ago. Removed the predator steps and took some chrome badging off.

Piecing together a lift and tire/wheel combo.

 

I never thought I would buy a Red truck but It's growing on me. Lift, wheels and tires are next.

 

Got my truck back from polish ceramic and ppf Looks minty and threw some new boots on her right after

 

Finally took the plunge and bought a new truck!! First couple of days I am really liking it so far and happy with my choice!
