    ---------------------------------

I sold my v8 4WD 4Runner this passed month. Was ready to get something a little bigger and newer with less miles. I love my Toyotas and they have always been good to me. Wasn’t a fan of the newer 4Runner body style and I was wanting something bigger and more room. The crewmax tundra really caught my eye and I fell for it. After looking at quite a few different ones with different trim packages I decided the platinum was what I really wanted. Being in Florida and black leather, those ventilated seats would be a must have. Swamp butt is a big thing here in FL lol. So I found and picked up a 2014 Tundra Platinum with only 66k on it. Expecting to have this for a good long time! So onto some pictures

Then picked these up the very next day. The truck came with 20s but I’m more of a 18s kinda guy and the OEM off-road wheels look pretty cool to me. I’m picky about wheels and haven’t found any aftermarket ones that look good to me. I’m sure I’ll eventually will. These will need new tires before they go on.

I’m not a chrome person so the door handles and mirror caps had to go. Ordered some color matched ones from Sparkparts. Fast shipping, I was shocked how fast I got them. Also I just want to say, swapping the door handles on this truck is the simplest and easy thin I have ever done.

So like then I found these on FB market place and scored then for a good deal, lightly used (70miles). The guy got then and then decided he wanted a 6” lift. I’m going very simple with my plans for the truck. OEM plus kinda look. Hoping to get these put in after thanksgiving.

Buddy of mine with a 17 TRD Pro just recently went supercharged and the kit swaps out the intake box. So he gave me his TRD intake and a mounting plate for a compressor since it didn’t fit anymore with the new intake.

Went up to NC to visit my parents for Thanksgiving and snapped some shots of the Tundra along the adventure. Truck did amazing on the 8hr drive up with traffic. Should have some more parts showing up here soon.

Oh yeah, anytime I'm up there I have to stop by and grab a beer. The Facility is great and they have a pretty cool setup out back for guests to hangout. Even got a garden where they grow food for the kitchen there. GF favorite part.

Updates! New head lights have arrived.

That new OEM plus look! Went with the silver ones vs the black ones. Not trying to black out the rig and I think these look sharper.

Got the front windows tinted to match the rear ones so everything looks uniform. Much cleaner looking now.

Scored these from a buddy. He damage one, so I only have 3 for now. Unfortunately FN doesn't make these in 18x9 +12 anymore so finding a 4th will be challenging. But for free 99, I couldn't say no. I got my eyes on some wheels id like to run so ill keep as backups/spares for now. If anyones got a similar spec one any color ill take it.

    Small update:

Sold the TRD offload wheels. Decided I wanted to go with a different look of the truck. Im narrating down the wheel and tire package id like to run. Trying to do something that won't kill my mpg but still look good. Got some Christmas goodies from the family and girlfriend so snagged some photos of them. Ordered some N-Fab side steps back in November and their held up in ATL with the shipping company. so I picked up some cheap one off FB market place to hold me over and then ill swap and sell them for what I got them for.

Got my new NFab step delivered today and package looked good but the steps inside were beat to hell. So dealing with that and the ppl I ordered from on next steps.

So I got some other parts installed today while I was in the driveway.

Wheels are Fuel Hype 17x8.5 +10 wrapped in the New Copper Stronghold AT 285/75/17s

I think I'm going to add a shackle to the rear and get back more of that rake the tundra has. I think it looks better then a leveled look.

I like them, grip seems good in off-road, mud, dry and wet conditions. They are a little noisy rolling down the road but I honestly expected that given the aggressive thread pattern. What really sold me was their weight compared to other tires. These were quite a few pounds less compared to other popular options. My goal was to not hurt my mpg as much as possible but still achieve the look I was going for. Whole setup ended up being a couple pounds less at each corner and gained a little better mpg, a little.

Purchased some flares for the Truck and did a little test fit to see how they would look. I'm thinking of wrapping them and the bottom of the doors for a two-tone look on the truck. Or at least playing around with the idea of it.

Awesome build! I’m always surprised to see so many people on here able to find 2.5 Tundras with low miles

PS You should’ve kept that 4-Runner, another beauty!

Thanks man, I feel like it was meant to be. Popped up at the right time.

It was a good vehicle and I'll probably get another down the road or a Land Cruiser. But was time to get something a little bigger and could cater to more current needs.

Picked up Dave8699's TRD PRO TSS garnish cover he prints for the hole in my grill. Filled it in nicely and I found the old metal TRD Sport badge that I had one my 4Runner at one point. Made a backing for it so it's like a badge on the grill now.

Finally got around to installing the flares. I left them unpainted, might down the road match them to the truck. But kinda like the offset flat black on the shiny black. You can see my SC in the background.
