One 4awg into the cab for amp, two 6awg to the bed for dc-dc, One 16/4 to the bed from switchpro for lights, arb compressor power cable, and pass ditch light. Fits it all with room to spare.

    Thanks :hattip:

Those kitten plates are pretty sweet tho! Bet if you tacked a few of those to the undercarriage it’d do the job. Thieves would think you’re

And I probably wouldn’t recommend ordering from Valhalla at this time. They’ve had a hard time keeping up with orders and some people have waited for over a year. Unless you really need the 3/16 steel then not much sense in going Valhalla. Talons garage whips them out pretty quickly and makes a nice 1/4 aluminum plate which should be more than adequate for most vehicles. Plenty of other cat shield manufacturers too.

Welcome to the forum!! Glad you’re here

Finally have onboard air. The arb went on sale so figured I’d switch out to that. There was no way the Morrflate was fitting under the cowl and I was getting sick of lugging it around and taking it in/out of the truck when needed. While I will miss the speed (and price) of the TenSix, I think this was the right way to go. One major bonus factor for the arb is that parts are available and they’re fairly easy to rebuild. After a quick text message consultation with @RainMan_PNW on cutting margins, I trimmed up the tetanus bumper to hopefully prevent any rubbing.

I was on the fence about fabricating a spare tire swingout after reading pros/cons of them, but after these 4 cuts I quickly realized that metalwork may not be my calling in life. Although, it is amazing how a flap disc can make your work look a hell of a lot prettier.

After a quick consultation with @BiggHertz on how to mount the Icom speaker in the dash I decided to give it a whirl. Pretty sure he downplayed it because it was a lot tighter than expected and the light sensor plug gets in the way. Anyways, so I had to adjust the setup and tuck it under the dash a bit. Jason suggested I use abs but that’s a little too expensive for my taste so I decided to use an old AZ license plate I had laying around instead. Seems to be pretty solid #AZspec

After that I focused on the overhead center console and relocated my switch pro and also moved my radio to the old switch pro location while I was in there.

Alright, so a quick update on this bumper. I have a few photos that i'll upload later.

The bumper went on with plenty of snags (all of them my own doing). The first issue and I saw this one coming a mile away was due to the thicker line-x compared to powder coating or even just a rustoleum bedliner rattle can job. Second issue was that the BSMs from 2014-2017 don't work with this bumper. I knew this, and musta read it at least 4 times, but still bought the bumper anyway. We'll blame that on sleep deprivation. Third issue (and this goes alongside #1) is that with this extra line-x, the bumper still slightly rubs against the tailgate even though I clearanced for it to fit. Corners near BSM pockets fit great though. Final issue was that after I had buttoned everything up for the day.. the rear parking sensors didn't work. This one was a big blow to the ego because they literally swap over from one bumper to the other. Parked the truck, put my tools in a pile and went inside for a drink. After thinking on it, here were (are) my solutions:

For problem 1 with the line-x, had to mount twice with a dismount in between to hit the mating surfaces with an orbital sander. Bumper went on fine after that.

Problem 2 (and this one is still TBD), but a quick EWD check shows the connectors for the BSMs from 2014-2017 and 2018-2021 are the same. The wiring for the slave (driver side) BSM is the same and there is a difference of 2 additional wires on 2014-2017 passenger BSM. Both old and new BSMs have 10 pins so I began wondering if the only difference is the shape. Old BSMs mount horizontally while new are vertical. I started looking at the BSMs on ebay and they range around 100 bucks a pop. A little pricey but I was willing to pay that to bring the feature back. While searching on ebay I found about ten different toyota product codes for what looked to be the same BSM. I knew that the BSM part numbers are the same regardless of mounting on the driver or passenger side, so how different could they be. Then, randomly, a Subaru BSM fell into my search. It looked identical to the toyota product. Then I noticed every one of the new BSMs said model SRR3A - toyota, subaru, mazda. I looked at my old BSMs and their model is SRR2A. This gave me a little hope that maybe it's the same BSM but just in a different configuration. Finally, I punched in SRR3B.. same BSM as SRR3A just different mounting holes. When I saw this, I said why not. The expansion of BSMs to include subaru and mazda dropped the price point from 100 to 40 per sensor. We'll see if it works, to be continued..

Problem 3 will be solved by putting on some edge trim. If the tailgate gets scratched up bad enough I'll have it repainted or go find another one

Problem 4 was dealt with the next day. While the kiddos were napping/having quiet time I snuck under the truck and pushed all the connectors in. Heard the SR1 connector click and thought that was it. Went back into the truck.. nope. Crawled back underneath and made sure to push each wire on each connector in as well. I also relieved some stress on the sensor wires and flattened out the sensor connectors as best as I could. That worked. I don't really use this feature but if it continues to give me trouble I'll either completely remake (and break out) the BSM, parking sensor, license plate light harnesses or just go without.

Good find on the sensors. I have found similar things in the past on many parts for Japanese rigs. :fingerscrossed: That they plug in and fire just fine

I’ve got the thru bolt version that I messed up on when sanding, but it could probably be cleaned up pretty easily with some filler primer and light sanding. Should be pretty cheap to ship if you want to try it @Translucent
