    Hey everyone!
I'm in the process of ordering everything I need for a (mostly) proper 3" lift for my truck. I'm getting Bilstein 5100 with OME 2885 to get about 2.5" and then possibly putting on 1/4" shims to get another 0.5" if needed to reach 3". I've heard about drivers lean on our trucks and just wanted to see how much lean yall were getting on the DC after a 2.5"-3" lift. Trying to figure this out ahead of time so I can compensate for it.
    Thanks!

Left side battery, driver, gas tank together might create a little lean, but hardly noticeable.

I think I’ll just order everything and then just adjust later if the lean is super noticeable

Put some purple drank in the radiator, hopefully she’ll lean the other way and balance out

I doubt you’re going to get 2.5” with 2885’s with a dc. Why not 2887s?

We had decided that 2887 (a 700lb spring) would probably be too harsh on a RWD DC in my previous thread.
I’m always open to other opinions. I’m trying to get to 3” after everything settles

I just bought some 885s for my 5100s. Haven’t installed them yet. I was thinking about going one clip up on the drivers side to overcome the lean. :notsure:

The 85 and 87 are the same spring rate, It’s not 700. First gen off-road says the 87s will lift a 2wd dc 2.5”.

thank yall so much for the info @Elevatorguy and @TX-TRD1stGEN
I was originally planning to get 5100 with 2887 to shoot for 3" but was told by a couple members that the 2887s would be too much for my 2WD DC. What do yall think I should do to get to that height? I'm open to input and ideas

That looks like the selector system from BilsteinLifts aka SuspensionLifts. You need to take its output with a grain of salt. What members have found here would suggest they tend to over-shoot their estimates by a solid half-inch in either direction. In the case of those numbers, I think they're probably 1/2" to 3/4" higher than reality even for the 4WD AC.

Solely for context, it may be helpful to catch the original thread: https://www.tundras.com/threads/lift-and-wheels-sanity-check.133061/

It'll also take out some of the 'telephone game' factor out of prior commentary on it. Would love to see your input over there as well.

Are you lifting it just for looks and bigger tires?
