We had this Suzuki Carry for a few years (it was my dad’s but I’d drive it some times). It was fun to drive, but also very uncomfortable, pretty much a knee on either side of the steering wheel, the seat back was attached to the back wall and was nearly straight up and felt like a potential death trap, I never took it on any major roads; lost traction all the time without any weight in the back, we kept lead bars in the back.
I added a stereo to it, didn’t sound very good but better than the AM radio it came with with the speaker integrated in the head unit.
Manual, 4wd, locking diff, tiny and could go kinda anywhere, there are some pretty cool little rigs out there people have built.

Looks like it’s made for someone with abnormally short legs.

I give it a one star crash test worthiness. Nothing absorbs crash test energy except your legs.

    Yes, Japanese people.

I bet it's weird shifting gears with your left hand.

Only if the clutch is on the right where the gas is located. Beyond that it's no different than learning how to drive a stick as a lefty.

It was surprising easy to get used to shifting left handed, pedals are in the ‘normal’ orientation and so is the shift pattern.
Yeah, pretty sure you’d be screwed in any crash, the gas tank was pretty much unprotected hanging off the back.
They’re super popular around BC and sell for stupid money for what they are, bare bones Japanese work vehicles.

Ford Pinto flashback!...hope they put a bladder in the tank so it wouldn't leak and ignite when rear ended.

I did it driving manual from one side of Ireland to the other and back. Dublin to Killarney with some stays in between, then up to Lahinch, then back to Dublin. I wouldn't want to get the hang of it in a city like Dublin, but once out on the road it's not bad. Hardest part for me was actually not favoring the line on the side of the road I was driving, and entering roundabouts. I actually liked steering with my right hand much more. Probably a good 1,500 miles or more, I forget.

    Weight reduction, mostly rust.
First season/winter with the used steelies with the Master Craft tires. I never really pay attention to the door jam PSI recommendations, I usually just go 32or35psi on all.
Def not worried about gas mileage, but wear, yes. What's your preference? 26 seems kind of low for the front.

I've been running 35 instead of 40 since t2s. Even dropped to 25 a few tines off road.

I should roll at 35 in town, the surface streets I take are garbage, but I’ve learned all the potholes super well. I’m sure people think I’m drunk in the morning dodging them all, but I love watching in my mirror as they plow down into some of the big ones…….. who’s drunk now?!

The main benefit of a t-150 you have 12" of wiggle inside a lane & can dodge trash & puddles so much easier. Even in traffic.

    Yeah in general.
Not familiar with these MasterCrafts either, if they are decent or shit tires. They just came with the rims.

During summer it’s around 35 to keep it from dropping below 30 by winter when the cold air runs amuck.

I did and I didn’t, but I just used nitrogen because it’s what I had so it was a no brainer over a compressor.
I should have known it was poppycock based on my work experience; you’d literally have to run a vacuum pump on your tires to remove all the air to see any real value, but at that point it’s all lost

Yep, just put 4 new tires on my travel trailer that were in no way worn out but starting to dry rot that were just under 5 years old. And these were not the typical China bomb trailer tires but made in the USA Goodyears rated for 85 MPH, upper end for trailer tires.

Checking in from Amsterdam. I'm jealous of people who can easily sleep on flights. I got maybe 30 minutes of rest. It's 0230 my time and I'm watching the sun rise.

It’s not at all what I had anticipated based on input from others. If you have a layover and want to grab a bite to eat LMK, we found a pretty killer spot while there. Been all over Europe, but I always avoided because the thought of endless hash bars and red light district overload everyone bragged on and on about sounded like it’d get old quick. In 1.5 days we had there, didn’t see any signs of either between the harbor we moored up at and the airport. We liked it enough we’re planning to take the kids there in the next year or two.
