So I have a 2016 crewmax 4x4 , it has 5100’s top setting and 35” tires. So far I’ve only done the coolant bypass on the throttle body and SABM. How many of you with similar set ups have done 5.29’s and a tune and been happy with the performance? With all the Black Friday deals on superchargers I’m not sure what to do lol mainly doing this for better towing experience 8k in the mountains

They both complement each other nicely. If can’t do both at same time would recommend regear first strictly from cost perspective. If in SoCal can get in on the group buy start at 1850 to regear. SC will cost 5-6k at min with current bf pricing.

I’ve done both on a fj cruiser in a past life was awesome sauce. Most likely end up doing both for the tundra as well. Running 35’s and frequent mountains as well, will be regearing soon and sc down the road soon as play funds allow.

There’s a local shop that will do both gear sets here in AZ for 1800 out the door and I have a whipple in my shopping car for 6400 shipped . Only downfall with the gears is the break in I don’t drive often mainly just for towing

Get cryo treated gears, require no break in.

I have a 2018 with 34” tires. 35’s are in the shop and ready to go on as soon as I finish wearing the current tires out…

I have 5.29s with a Powertrax Grip Pro LSD.

I also have an HP Tuner and had my truck tuned on a dyno for gains. They dialed in the engine as far as we could go, which was an amazing difference.

I tow a 25’ TT that weighs around 7,000# and live in western Oregon. All we have is hills…

Driving the truck without the trailer feels more sporty and quick than when it was 100% stock, by a good margin. Acceleration is effortless and passing is easy. No, it’s not like a S/C, but still a massive improvement.

When towing, I run in 5th gear. Shift down to 4th when climbing, and it just keeps going. Zero regrets.

I did the gears first then a na tune then Supercharged, all of them helped but the Supercharger was the cherry on top
