Update on that whole injector thing that I got going. Two days ago I received an email from the USPS saying that I have a delivery in a parcel locker. I look at the information and it says that it's been there since the 16th. I couldn't think of what this might be, as I haven't ordered anything that recently. I looked at the tracking data and I see that it's point of origin is Yorba Linda CA and that it entered the system on the 9th. Well, that's the location of FiveO Motorsports and that's the same date that I received an email from them that my return was complete. Yesterday I dropped by the Post Office to check my box for a key to a parcel locker but didn't find one. I checked in with a clerk who checked around a bit and said to me that they're unable to find it right now, but took my name and number saying that they'd go through the lockers and look for it.

Today I checked in with the same clerk who checked around again and replied to me that the parcel had been scanned into a locker, and then scanned out. I was then told that there were two people looking shelf by shelf for the package. The recommendation was that I could either file a claim through the website, or give it a couple more days and check in with them again. Knowing that the place is swamped and grossly understaffed, I said that I'll try again Monday.

Right now I'm hoping that FiveO put insurance on it. I haven't heard back from them yet since I emailed a couple days ago, but it's a holiday week and any one or all of them may be off work for it. I'm sure they'll be just as gleeful as I am right now if I have to inform them that the item was lost. The time this is taking is just out of control. I'm really not blaming anyone specific at the moment, it's just pretty frustrating.

Meanwhile, the new Prius is pretty hot looking.

 

@wynned. That sucks and approaching the holidays puts the cherry on top of the wonderful understaffed usps people.

 

Yep. I was just thinking that maybe I should try to get on with them part time just so that I can get my own mail on time.

M3 S52 cams, ordered 10/29, shipped 11/1, supposed to deliver 11/4. Arrived in Pheonix 11/3 & disappeared. 11/7 declared lost. I filed a claim to get my almost 800 bucks back (still waiting) 11/19 I get an email they will deliver 11/20. They need to be signed for so each time they are "out for delivery" I have to hang around. They are lost again.

 

I'm full on expecting to get one of these some day. All delivery services have gone to the dogs in the last few years. One day UPS put a really heavy item for me in front of the neighbor's door and she had to go through her garage to get out of the house because she couldn't move it.

 

How the hell do they lose an 800.00 package TWICE??????

I have gotten this email 2x, today it was less than an hour after my latest call reopening the search case.

How do they do an "exhaustive search" in under an hour?????

I'm guessing that's a form letter. You have to wonder where this stuff goes. Someone has to stumble upon it somewhere down the line. Then what happens to it, landfill? The items that you and I are talking about are pretty application specific. When/if they turn up, you can't just pass them off later as white elephant gifts at Christmas.

Does anyone need an intake? @snivilous was generous to send me his prospeed intake with 4.5 inch pipe. He wanted me to offer it up to someone that needs one.Yes the prospeed box sucks! You can easily mod your box for the 4.5 intake. You'd have to cut a hole in the lid and use a flexible rubber seal around it. The cone filter fits inside the box.

 

That box is literally unused, and was still in the packaging when I sent it to @Mdl, it's just so absolutely horrible it doesn't feel right to charge someone for it.

 

@snivilous Thanks for helping me troubleshoot with your intake!
I attached the intake pipe to my throttle body to figure out my vacuum leaks. I had it mocked up to the TRD box and the pipe lines up.
Will fit Magnuson TVS 1900 and 2650.

 

It is a horrible box that’s taken too much effort to make it functional just to be replaced soon.

 

Hmmmm… well… ummm… ok. You talked me in to it.

 

Talked to Whipple today about lead times. 10 - 12 weeks.

But I knew that when I pushed the Go button. Just have to bide my time til a crate shows up... then invest in tires...

 

How much for the intake?

1. will these straight pipes affect my present Tune? <77.5mm pulley Harrop S/C>

2. other than being louder, what level of obnoxious would I be dealing with...on a scale of 1 to ten?

compare and contrast this to my present TRD duals.

Question for reywcms, I know I am probably beating a dead horse here but I see the Whipple SC is on sale. Does it come complete with everything needed to install or would I have to buy extra items such as spark plugs, fuel pump etc. Also it does come with a tuner/tune from Whipple, is this tune safe for Daily driving and longevity. This is my daily driver and I need it to be reliable. 2018 5.7 non FFV with 53K. Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for info.
