Nothing but an almost bone stock 2WD SR5, but I still can't walk away from her in a parking lot without a backward glance. I love this truck more and more as the years and the miles fly by.

The only reason I have the truck is for the bed, otherwise I would happily be driving a dainty SUV. Homeownership requires a lot of bed use!

Yea, I have no idea how to do that, and no desire to learn! :) So, unless I feel like paying the auto body shop owner (my prior neighbor, so I would get a discount) it's keeping it's chrome! Not to mention I just found out I need a whole new tub/shower at a cost of 6+ grand, an extensive filling and crown on one tooth, and a root canal redo on another one, AND I want to get out of my 50.00 an hour nursing job before I die from misery to go work at a much less paying paramedic job so I won't dread the next 20 years of working, it will be a while before I have the cash to pretty up the truck!

To me dechroming one of these Tundras makes them look better, but it isn't cheap.

Your truck looks great as it is.

Took the turd to western Maine again. 3000 mile round trip and she ran 80mph up and back and all day at 10mph in 4wd running the logging roads like a champ. I love this truck like it loves gasoline.

Did you install a front hitch receiver to support your fishing gear racks?

Yes sir, went with the Curt brand. Had good luck with one on my Tacoma but the Tundra model is much simpler with only 4 bolts on the tow hook mounts. The Tacoma model was 3 separate pieces and mounted to the frame rails with a bunch of hardware, little more cumbersome. I did have to order some longer fine thread metric hi tensile flange bolts from McMaster Carr to be able to also run the tow hooks with the hitch mount. Stock bolts weren’t long enough. I also have a beefy 10k hitch drop/riser (made for a motorhome car dolly) that I run to raise the basket for more ground clearance too. Same setup I ran on the Tacoma as well.

One more thing, had to buy/run an extension since the front hitch sits pretty far back under the bumper.

Our 2019 tow rig (new to us).

Right after we bought it Mrs ordered the running boards, tow mirrors, and hard tonneau cover. I just found a driver’s side a-pillar grab handle, and I’m ordering a cargo divider. I really want to do the color matching door handles.
