Yup, you’ll notice WoolWax after it’s been sprayed. On your first costing make it thick. It’s doesn’t wash off at the same rate as FF. I would never use it again after WoolWax. Every subsequent year all you’ll need is to touch it up. Make sure you drop spare and get it up there as well. Great product and worth every penny.

It’s lanolin. What it gets on will leave a residue

My installer switched from Fluid Film to Wool Wax. He said Wool Wax is a little thicker and more durable. He suggests reapplying every 2-3 years vs 1-2 years with Fluid Film. He did say being thicker that Wool Wax doesn’t creep quite as well in the inside cavities like doors and tail gates but he makes sure he gets everything covered. For exposed undercarriage surface protection is where Wool Wax is superior.

Did you use one of those 360 extension wands for spraying the inside of the frame? I'm looking for one that fits the Amsoil can.

I did Fluid Film last year and the results were great.
I did watch the video from Project Farm and don't disagree that Fluid Film is not the best when exposed to continual spray etc. However, I like the fact the Fluid Film does creep into all the little cracks and crevices and that it can be removed if I would like.
I will be reapplying this year and doing the rest of my fleet. I don't think that the Tundra will take much because most of it is still there......
I am sure that there are many other good products out there. My two cents would be to get a product that does not dry up (old school undercoating) and a product that can be cleaned off if need be.
The most important is to just get something on if you don't want rust.

Did 2 cans of Amsoil HD MP last week on the frame and all the cross members. I like that it covers very easily and dries without being sticky, but man is it stinky and messy. I feel like I’ll be wearing a tyvek suit, goggles and a respirator next fall when I reapply.

I love how easy it is to apply and how great it works, but yeah the smell makes me want to burn my clothes afterward.

At least the smell hangs around for a day or two.

I'm trying to find a cavity wand that will fit the cans so I can finish coating the inside of the cross members and the frame section right up next to gas tank.

These didn't work, I ended up with most of it running down the side of the can: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BVYYKCS2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

The short answer to this one is yes it does. After a couple of months the bottom of my truck reminds me of the Land Cruiser that I bought out of CA after 300,000 miles. Everything has a black film on it. Kinda yucky. However, under that film there is nice clean rust/corrosion free metal.
It cleans off with hot water and decent pressure from a hose or a little Simple green.

This is definitely a trade-off vs. some other products that dry on. I like the fact that Fluid Film creeps and remains mostly a liquid. If damaged it self heals and when I want my truck to look great on the bottom side, I simply clean it off. Too each their own.

I have dealt with too many undercoating products that get hard and either flake off or trap dirt and moisture underneath. These end up promoting more rust than they prevent.
