What lift/tire size is that, truck has a good stance to it

EDIT: See the TRD 3" lift, what Dobs rear spring#, 749s? Looks good on 35x12.5

Nice setup. I like their utility, but for what they cost I'm not a fan. For $15k plus I'm not climbing onto the tailgate and into the setup lol; I'll go slide in camper or flatbed/flat camper with stairs at the next stage. I think that's my game plan, whether on this truck or another in a few years. Currently running a Alucab 3R tent with UpTop Overland bedrack, SofTopper underneath. Works for the most part, not super secure but it's not bad. 200W solar on the tent, feeds a battery box w/ charge controller, MSA fridge slide and 70L Ironman fridge on a homemade bed plate. Cold drinks and food to get me out and back. Still adjusting to a truck vs. SUV in general...

It’s not cheap by no means… but if you add up everything you have now you are probably getting close to the same cost. I done everything myself to keep the cost down some. Out of everything I looked at this was the best for what I’m doing with it. I have had several different setups in the past and this is by far the best that I have used as for ease of setup and so on.

Totally get that, same here. This is best for me for now. Depending on if I stay on the East Coast or go West is a big factor for me going forward. I do all I can as well, just lack of extra hands or inclined help prohibits me sometimes. Toys toys lol, may the quest continue!

Has anyone disconnected or had the shop installing disconnect the 3rd brake light on the cab, with installing a cap? On the 2.5 gens, it was an easy unscrew of the brake light housing and pop out the bulb, but I'm guessing on the 3rd gens, I'd have to drop the rear headliner and unplug the 3rd brake light connection? Getting a Leer 100XQ Sport installed later this afternoon. Thank you!

Yep, you have to drop the headliner. Not terrible difficult as I did it myself with very little experience... In about couple hours as I'm very slow.

It'll be very hard though if you already have camper installed, you may want to wait on installing it or will have to move it couple feet away from the cab to work with the headliner

Wow, my dream setup. If you don't mind, what is the overall hight with the tent closed? I'm trying to stay under 7'10". And do you know the lead time? Thanks

Just got my 100XR installed yesterday. I had a 100XL on a previous truck and I kind of like the more utilitarian look of the XR better. Also not leaking like crazy like my XL did.

Trd lift. Heritage grill. Painted grill surround. Ceramic tint. Bfg ko2. Leer canopy.
Where did you buy this xq sport? I don’t even see a xq available. I bought the xl because I was told this canopy is not even being built.

I got it at Car-Mic Truck Caps in Lancaster, PA. They were able to get official word from Leer that they won't be building the XQ for the Tundras, only the XQ Sport. I originally had set out wanting the XQ again (had on last Tundra) but liking this one so far!

Around the rear window. The headliner was always soaked near the interface with the top of the bed sides when it rained. Could have been spray coming in around the tailgate. I didn't really think much of it until I saw how dry the tundra/XR combo was.

Random question…anyone bummed they can’t use their roll down rear window anymore since they got their topper?

On my old truck I had a softopper as well as multiple hard shells with gull-wing doors.

New truck arrives next week. Can’t decide which option to go with.

I still use my rear window...it's just a bit louder when open.

i still open and get great air flow paired with a front window cracked.
obviously a little more wind noise but not bad on my Leer. I’m sure each caps noise is different depending on how it meets up with cab.

Darn, I’ve already ordered an XL. Maybe it’ll be different on my ‘24. Here’s hoping mine will stay dry I don’t expect any canopy to be sealed perfect but something close to should be expected.
I do plan on using the roll down rear window still. Leer’s tip out front window seems like an accommodating feature.

Installed a couple husky boxes inside the windoor. Wrapped the base with a cot organizer from cabellas. Pretty happy with the extra storage. Also tied in some led strip lights. 20231121_172554.jpg 20231121_172332.jpg

I Built the proof of concept with plywood and 2x4's. I plan on doing something out of aluminum eventually. The boxes are bolted to the canopy lip and the bases are just sitting on the bed as not to drill/ modify the actual truck at all.

Works great I've got about 60lbs in each when I've got all my tools with me. Seems like it will carry much more with no issues
