There is A LOT going on in that area dude:rofl: My home {1953) has the 16" plaster board like that too, except its cement board and was hand troweled, hard AF.
Make sure if you rip up anymore of those "special material" 9inch tiles wear a mask, know what I mean... As Best Us.
Done a bit of building/contractor work in my early years so this interests me, it's in my blood. Good luck, and hope you have no big $surprises:thumbsup:

One dude at work isn’t scared to fuck with it” just wet it down”
I don’t get paid enough to fuck with that shit. And I’m pretty sure me and another dude were swimming in it up in a attic fucking with a exhaust main shaft replacement for weeks and had no idea

Contemplating Dumping the inherited 2013 Edge/Limited/AWD before it inevitably breaks... Wife's car, so I was thinking Rav/Highlander/4runner, and an older one so I can actually work on it. I'm a Honda fan as well, so CRV perhaps...
Any advice on the most reliable model and/or year?

Yeah, I really do not have time to pull the bed now. I'm replacing a bathroom in my house, taking care of 2 small kids, redoing a bunch of stuff on the exterior of my house, and working full time. I'm hoping to pull the bed in the spring. I'm prepared to deal with cleaning the fluid film in the spring. I own a pressure washer. Hoping that will take care of most of it.

Th attic, I pray wasn’t actually but someone said it was……..
but most of our old piping from the 40-70s is usually like that and even conveniently labeled as such hahahaha
We had to do a emergency steam line repair in a tunnel. My boss was like you can….. but you don’t have to touch it, im like nope, call in the abatement company, I want no part of that!!!
We also got lucky, which I was sad it didn’t go south to take more time; a 1/4” nipple into a 4” main steam line broke, we were able to re thread the nipple and get it up and running. I hate working with steam, that shit is no joke; I’m still healing where I burnt my finger sticking it into a hole I shouldn’t have

Ok y'all. I have a spare T10 / 194 / 168 bulb. I need to use it somewhere in the truck that takes exactly 1 bulb in that size. Where should I put it?

Pressure wash the frame. Wash it down with hot water & Dawn dish soap. Pressure rinse it & likely you'll be done with the Fluid Film.

Those courtesy foot well lights are T5s. I remember specifically only because I added one on the passengers foot well.

Unless they changed it sometime after 2000 the door card lights are a "festoon" style. door cards 36mm / dome 31mm
These are my cheaper Jina specials.

Anyone know what the small dimmer/alarm/mirror heater switch left of the wheel is? I haven’t yet dug on how to remove it yet so not sure…

I just had mine off (I pushed the mirror heat switch too hard and it fell inside). There are no replaceable lamps inside. The switches have internal lamps (I say lamps because I'm not sure they even are LEDs), just like the AC, 4HI, et al switches.

The ones that really piss me off are the switches on the driver door arm rest. Try finding your window, mirror, and door lock controls at night. All 3 of my Toyotas suck in this regard. The lamps were dim to begin with, and are barely visible after ~ 20 years.

And the clock! I've ditched all the green condoms (and I love the result!) but my clock is still green!

I looked into/ pried and peeked into the housing for the drivers window switches, here is what I found for backlighting.

I realized just a while back that I changed all my interior lighting bulbs in the roof lights except for the two rear map lights. I thought I had swapped those out too but I only swapped the dome light. The map lights are still halogen. Need to grab some more T10 bulbs. At least I think they are T10 bulbs. Meh.
