My MYP came with 3 months of FSD beta free. It’s not good at night, not good with multiple turn lanes, not good with school zones. But once I’m on a good parkway or highway it’s nice.

Hard pass. It's killed two motorcyclists because Tesla cheaped out and removed radar.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    I love it.

Not one single stock auto beats a Plaid.

    and the media is silent.

I love when the big 3 comes out with a new sports car (Corvette/GT500/Hellcat/911 Turbo S/etc)...then we race it against a Plaid. oops.

God Bless Lucid (assuming it makes production)for making a faster car...but it ain't affordable or viable.

We took ours to get an inspection sticker. The young man said "whoa, that's a Plaid. Is it really that fast?" My wife told him it was dangerous. very poignant answer.

The fact you can now get one for<$100k cuts me deep.

I'm just waiting for the drug dealing douchebag shit twizzlers of the world to catch on and do their idiotic and dangerous flee from the police bullshit with them. Look at what the morons do with the hellcats and demons. It's gonna be a mess when they figure out electrics. That kind of mass at that speed is going to serious hurt people.

    agreed.

and technically, I would be included in the same category with my S/C'd Tundra! It will scoot, but has no idea on how to stop.

also, the hwy patrol needs MS Plaids. that would be Mad Max type awesome.

I think a bit of my fascination with the MS Plaid is:

I don't get to drive it much.
Recently, I've been adding HP to my Tundra & it's scooting faster.
    then,
I drive the MS & it is on another level of acceleration.

an unreal level. because you know no other auto can accelerate like this and your driving it.

that's when, like all grown-ass men would, you constantly search the road for sports cars. hoping to get the red light with them.

that feeling alone is worth the $.

    Life remains good.

I've been seeing this message on the wires.

I don't think, per se, it applies to Tesla owners.

Generally Tesla owners keep their cars. because every time you drive them, you enjoy life a little bit more.

If I had a garage and a need for a second car, I would consider a Model 3 Long Range, but if it's good enough weather for the car over the truck I think I'd rather ride a motorcycle. The ease of less maintenance and the more affordable, though still crazy, price of the 3 makes it the only one I'd actually think of purchasing. Still, I think I'm happier with just the truck and a bike.

    True, but Tesla could:
    A) Tell LE exactly where they are and LE can then back off and find them safely
    B) Take control of their speed and limit it.

Great. Big brother can seize your cars controls. Just wait for the "red flag" laws and abuse for those to pop up. You'll have to get permission to travel in more obscene and intrusive ways than we are already subjected to.

    No thank you.

I mean, it’s just like the OnStar thing Chrysler has, no? They’d still need a warrant for it, I’m sure. I’m sure there are regulations. I’m for disabling fuck nuts cars who’s running from some violent crime than to be smacking into others on the road.

    LOL.

this reminds me of our Ops Mgr recently had his '22 Denali 1500 stolen at Home Depot.

he was on the phone with onstar the minute he noticed the truck gone.

Onstar would not do ANYTHING. They needed a warrant. They wouldn't even slow the truck. NOTHING.

sad part - the truck was notifying my guy that his truck was getting torn apart-IN REAL TIME!!. Different systems were getting taken off line.

    sad sad

UAW is behaving as if they know many of these Big 3 jobs are going to be gone in 10-20 years for various reasons. An exorbitant pay deal will keep today's work force fat and happy to buy them time to worm their way into EV and import shops to keep themselves alive for another generation.

They need this or they will die so they're not going to just roll over and give up if it's initially hard. It will get nasty. Musk has taken some heat in the press for tactics he's used to beat this back but I can't imagine what the other side has done behind the scenes trying to muscle its way into his workforce that we don't even hear about.

My thought exactly. They need new blood to make money. They’ve squeezed everything out of the domestic legacy builders.

I hate unions. I have a buddy who is in the communication workers of America union and sorry it’s just a joke. Blindly supporting strikes just because- union.

My FIL worked for a union (now retired) who is being investigated by the FBI for misuse of funds, inflated corporate bonuses and perks, etc. like it was disgusting to have annual outings as a union to hold raffles to help give money to the “brothers standing up on strike” to supplement them. Meanwhile corporate blowing millions on conventions, bonuses, stipends, etc. And the nepotism is unreal

That would be problematic w/charging issues; most LE organizations would have to double or triple their fleets to maintain the same service.... plus you're almost doubling purchase price; then doubling or tripling #of vehicle; then doubling or tripling storage; then doubling or tripling outfitting expenses... much easier said than done!!!
