Does it have the nav map card installed? I wonder if I can make this work on my 2016?

A year ago I upgraded my non-Nav in my 2017 to a Nav radio and had no issues. I did swap my XM receiver as I have an active subscription, but there was no issues doing that. The XM receiver is the box on the bottom of the radio.

I did notice the Map card that came with the radio was a few years old so I purchased an updated one and had no issues doing this either.

I can't speak for your truck, but it was a good upgrade, I wish I had Android Auto, but I was having a hard time looking through all the different models of radios for the newer trucks.

The Nav radio even displays upcoming turns on the instrument cluster.

I can’t answer your first question but for the second, it should be plug n play . Very easy to swap out. NAV cards can be found on eBay for ~$25

The seller hasn't chimed in yet so I don't even know if it's still for sale.
