I just ordered one last week and is back ordered but just put my vehicle in-didn't see a part number selection. Hope I didn't screw that one up.

 

Put a deposit on my 24 limited off road. Digging the chrome delete and digital gauge cluster on the newest version. Now just need that black headliner.

Man looks great, exactly where I want my front end to go

 

Shakedown into sub freezing temps for the weekend testing out new RTT, awning and Planar diesel heater. So far very happy with set up, but having reliability issues with the Planar. Def burns much cleaner especially with k-1 Kerosene compared to Amazon heaters but so far very poor reliability start up. Planar says it’s because I’m plugging into my Bluetti battery instead of direct 12 volt to a marine battery but never had issues with my cheaper heater.

Nice, I have a Roofnest Condor 2 Overland XL tent arriving on Thursday, is that the same model you have? I will be needing a heater at some point as well, will check out Planar.

yeah exactly, upgraded from the original condor XL. Far superior tent, much better made, and the huge reason we upgraded was so we could store our 5 down bags without having issues closing the cover. The heater vents are great. Very happy with this tent, but it is a beast. Might need to change out your rear coils with Dobinsons to prevent sag.

 

haha thanks man, we’ve been blessed. All this crap definitely isn’t cheap, but so worth it seeing your kids get out of the house into nature. Especially nowadays, I really think the antidote to a lot of the issues are getting out to nature, sweating and getting a little dirty and feeling humbled by the outdoors.

 

Good to hear, looking forward to getting mine later this week! I actually got the Dobinsons Part # C59-843V (2" lift 220-440 lbs load) installed last week when they did the new front bumper in preparation for the 250 lbs of tent.

I also have 23' overlanding trailer and I previously had the factory rear springs with the 1" Westcott spacer and Timbren off-road bumpstops but the trailer still caused too much sag. I'm sure the new Dobinsons springs will handle the tent and other gear, I'm interested to see what happens with all of that and the trailer hooked up.

If there is still sag the next step is adding some rear airbags.

Were you the one who left the review on the Roofnest website saying it was great except it whistles when going above 55mph because of the accessory tracks on the front edge? Someone with a 3gen tundra posted that. Said they fixed it by putting some weather stripping in the track.

 

haha that review wasn’t me, with my prinsu with roam, already have enough wind noise that adding the new tent didn’t really bother me.

I think with those coils you should be sitting perfect. I initially had the 1” lift with the same weight capacity, but was getting clacking over every small bump as the upper end of the coils were hitting each other.

I ended up sizing up to the 1” 550 lbs coils, with the tent, extra fuel, water tools and gear it sits pretty perfect now with a very slight rake.

Your bumper is exactly what I want to do, but if I do it want to do it with a matching CBI rear bumper and maybe a magnaflow overland cat back exhaust. Did you have to upgrade coils in the front to handle the load of the bumper? I also just wish it would cover the OEM lightbar. But then again it’s pretty weak.
