I know. It blows my mind. Even if were $40k- nothing attractive, especially since it’s Volvo.

Took a road trip, in the Tundra, to see the kids...South Houston to San Marcos to Lake Conroe.

Not counting the 10! Deer we saw on the side of the road that have been hit by cars....we saw a LOT of Teslas.

mostly saw MY, then M3...3 MX's. 1 MS Plaid that was decked out.

    Zero other EV's. ZERO

Remarkable. you would think, via the media, that Tesla was about bankrupt.

The Tundra, now pushing 9.5psi, got 18mpg round trip. Does that number help save the earth?

Our HOA voted to get a new gate controller...Lord help me, I'll have to reprogram all the cars.

    I get to work @5am.

to "Kill all the rats" before the day starts.
meaning, I knock all the semi-complex financial crap out first, while nobody is here, before operations gets here & brings 25 problems to solve.

    I leave the warehouse ~2pm.

    it's a living.

I honestly don't get the distain for Musk from the public. He wants to keep lowering vehicle prices over time, has the most American made car out there AND paid $40B to protect free speech.
I get why the media and other giants don't like him, they can't control him.

Yeah he's a little weird but shit, aren't we all?!

Without getting into specifics here, we've seen several West coast buyers lock in long term hydro rates recently. Maybe they see the storm ahead..

BIL runs a crane at Windmill sites. He has been doing this for a number of years now from Texas to North Kadota and says there is no end in sight as far as staying employed. He is well aware everything can come to a crashing halt like anything else can but there is a huge number of product on the ground.

They are huge and the numbers at some of the sites are amazing to see!:)

I’m sticking with the basic outlet plug for now. Only 26 hours until fully charged to 80% lol

Yes, but do you need a "full" charge to do what you do on a daily basis? I remember watching Electroboom when he got his and he decreased the amount of amps he was pushing when at home. His thinking is you only need maybe 30 miles of range a day. If you plug in at night or whatever, you don't need to have a full charge all the time, so using all the amps wasn't totally necessary or something along those lines.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    we do 80% max. 260miles-ish?

I like for the wife to have enough to do whatever & me not have to worry.

I would guess - in the long run - a lower amp charge would be better.

using the 10 amps at the house seems fine - it charges overnight.

using 48amps at the lake - it charges up in 3 hours & the cord gets hot.

I’m charging to 75-80% using my 120v outlet. I set it to 10 amps and “trickle charge it.” I don’t drive during the weekdays.
