I'm ready to get hit by a bus or fall off the roof. But with my luck, I'd live.

    truth.
but at 7am it's not quite as bad on the flight there. 7am flights back suck.

Doesn't help this trip is literally the week of the F1 race - will be flying out Thursday morning as the whole crowd will be flying in for the weekend.

I got to see the black sand beaches when we were in Hawaii years ago. They're pretty neat. It never occurred to me to pilfer some.

Whenever I'm somewhere unique, especially if there's a chance I'll never make it back there, I'm always thinking about bringing a piece back.
Not sure why. It's all shit that'll end up in a footlocker in someone's attic and get thrown out 30 yrs after I'm dead.

Glad it's an early flight then. Bet your room will cost 3-4x if you stayed another day! They're saying that race will likely be the most expensive ever. What a zoo...

Visited SNP a few years ago to see the giant Sequoias. The cones on the ground were the size of fukn footballs.
You're not s'posed to take shit from national parks. But as we were leaving, I heard a thud right next to me. Turned around and it was a freshly fallen cone. I actually caught the last bit of movement after it hit the ground. Figured it was a sign, so I bagged it. It was smaller than most of them, but still huge.
I mean, how do you see pine cones the size of your head and not bring one home to show people? Or, just to look at it once in awhile and think, that's a big fukn pine cone.

Whatever they have that's cool. Dirt, rocks, sand....I almost brought a chick home from Canada once. She was a little too unique so I left her there. I wouldn't mind bringing home a 250 lb buck from Saskatchewan, or a dinosaur bone from the Alberta badlands.

A dino bone might be tough, but a shellfish fossil is probably possible and easier to come across in the Alberta badlands. I have a 20lb+ chunk of petrified wood I found on a river here in northern Alberta.

My cousin is a part time big game guide in Saskatchewan, he might be able to connect you with a buck or at least know someone who could.

It is a certified shit-show down here (more than usual). Traffic's already a mess with all the fences and barricades and stuff.

    62* and sunny
Hit cardio first this morning with the wife at the gym
Washed Sonic (she’s already clean, but it’s been a few weeks, and I’ve taken two freeway trips over the last few weeks)
Pressure washed 1/2 the garage where the dirt stains were from the snowfall a few weeks ago
Removed some shelves for the fridge to be moved to when the new one gets here Tuesday
Installed the shelves in a different area
Grabbed two new UA hoodies. 1 was an exchange as I already had it, and I grabbed another that cost me $4.00 as we had a random UA gift card sitting around.
Gotta prep meals for the week and will most likely do it on the BBQ due to nice weather.

We're s'posed to have a mild winter, but it's still been mostly in the 40s and rainy.
No rain today. I'll take dry and chilly over wet any day. Be nice to squeeze in a few more sunny 50* days, but I'm sure that'll happen while I'm at work.

Good luck with all of that. I've read the locals are pretty pissed with all the road construction. Apparently it has been going on for weeks...

Man, I'm having flashbacks of my last trip down there. Still gives me shivers...

All the rentals are jeeps and Nissan altimas.
All kidding aside, I picked a minivan because I wanted to be comfortable and have tons of room for our shit. There's nowhere you need 4wd on any of the islands.

Having a minivan is probably like losing your virginity as a women. Scary at first, but then you discover all of the things you can put inside of it.
