I have been using the BF Goodrich TA K02 tires and have been very happy with them. I am currently at 60000 miles and tires are due to be replaced. I was looking at the Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T G015 thinking that they might give a better highway performance. Should I stick with the K02’s or give Yokohama a chance? Most of our driving is on the road with a few winter trips to the snow/mountains for camping.

I have the Yokohama G015. They make them in P or LT ratings. I went with P rated and haven't looked back. Even towing, I'm happy with the P rated. I saw greatly improved ride quality.

They are excellent on the highway and I've put them on some rough terrain without complaints

I got rid of my BFG KO2s for vibration issues.

My neighbor has run 2 sets of yokos on his f350 and loves them. He highly suggested them for my next set

been running KO2s for years. Love them. Will probably get the KO3s when my KO2s need to be replaced. Are the Yoko 3 peak rated ?

Yoko GO15 E Rated here. Good solid tires, quiet, handle well in all weather conditions. Next set will be the same if they are available. Had to wait a few months for this set to arrive.

The Yoko’s are 3 peak rated. I do like the K02’s but think the Yoko’s might be better for the majority of my driving which happens to be on road.

My truck does not like 8 or 10 ply tires. Could not get rid of the shimmy. I loved the look of the KO2s, but the Yokohamas have been excellent.

My dad has run those Yokohamas for a long time. 4 sets on his 06 tundra, and just put a second set on his 17 tundra.

I had KOs on my 2010 tundra when I bought it and replaced them soon after as I wasn’t happy with the performance.

I do not run the Yokohama model in question, but do run a Yokohama tire (X-AT) and have been pleased with the quality, performance and wear.

Welp, guess I am an old guy.

I remember my dad choosing Michelin LTX over BFG KOs back in the day and not understanding why.

those tires were on my 05 tundra when I bought it. I replaced them after 65k and they still looked new.

Yeah, they never wore out. Same with the Michelin Destiny (car tire) from the same era. I remember people actually getting 80K+ out of them when I worked at Discount Tire. They had to be replaced for age, not treadwear. Unbelievable tires.

Just got the Yokohama Geolander AT G015’s (LT285 65 R20) installed. First impression is that they drive very well on the highway, are quieter than my BFG’s, and stick to the wet roads very well. I’ll post pics in the daylight tomorrow. For me driving 95 percent on road with a tire that is 3 peak rated and can go off-road on the occasion it is the right choice.
