Don't accept this guy's invitation, he is an ax murderer claiming to be a dentist, not even sure which one of those is worse!

Fabulous, it's spiders for thanksgiving dinner this year... Anyone have any recipes for that?

Well, I’ve never paid an ax murderer bill before.

We sure did. And the turkey I cooked was delicious, and not a bit dry.

Not nearly as good as the last brisket I smoked, but can’t be feeding that to a bunch of family that’s already thankful. :D

    Heck ya! Spatchcock that bird!

But I wouldn’t mind brisket for thanksgiving. Just means we’d eat it for thanksgiving and New Years. And Pioneer Day. And birthday. And earth day. And Arbor Day. And Memorial Day. That’s not a bad thing, I’ve just been advised to eat a more balanced diet. So I change it up with tri tip and ribs and pork butt and burgers.

:rofl:No one pays the dentist either.

Not even asking for all of it, just some of it on the same day you had the work completed. You know, like a grocery store, Home Depot, the gas station, a barber, the movie theatre, a NFL game, the $15,000 worth of 12’ high idiotic Halloween decorations in your front yard that you think makes you look edgy or interesting (it doesn’t), a restaurant, or just every other effing thing in society.

“But my job said I got dental”.

The look of disbelief is often its own reward.

Speakers, amp, subs, floorboard lights...and the little step thing under the bumper
Zoidberg, good on you for being vegetarian, but I'm too carnivorous.

We generally have turkey or ham, but brisket sounds great! I've been thinking about getting a smoker...not saying it's not user error, but the grill just doesn't cook ribs tasty enough, so I just do burgers, steaks.

Sure. Just don't be mad if I don't like it. I just don't like the taste of turkey. The bird I smoked was super juicy, so it's not a problem of dryness.

Grills are generally for high heat, fast cooks. Ribs really do benefit from low and slow cooking. Look up smokingmeatforums - they have subsections dedicated to different types of smokers. Do some research, pick one, and have fun. Generally, even your mistakes while learning the smoker/methods won't be all that bad.

You could even smoke vegetables, if that's your thing.
