    Just a question, which state do you live in that does not tax bank interest, I'm all ears, look at your previous post, I am asking for clarification, not sure why your taking this as a hostile question...

    You are mistaken (again). I have absolutely zero issue with you seeking the intimate comforts of other men.

    It being a Stellantis product with a complicated systems like that would be the biggest draw back for me. Didn't they just get rid of the diesel motor for the 1500 and Wrangler because it had so many problems? I would not be an early adopter of any of their new products.

    I'd pick somehting like that up a few years after Toyota or Honda put one out. Peugeot, Fiat Chrysler, no way! Some of the worst manufactures combined into one. I'd take a Chevy or Ford before theirs.

    Does the towing back to the Stellantis dealer count in the range calculation?

    Also how much range decrease will occur with most folks slapping huge tires and lifts on them day 1?

    They better adopt Hyundai & Kia 100,000 mile warranties because that will get quite pricey to fix.

    The idea of how this works has already been out awhile. I believe the Chevy Volt is a plug in hybrid with a gas engine that only recharges the battery. They didn't exactly change the world with their high prices and poor quality vs the reliable gas sipping Prius.

    Why not strap a diesel generator to your Ford Lightning or Rivian pick up truck for the same results cheaper?

    That's the exact reason they won't provide long warranties.
    Can those charge while driving?

    I have had a number(probably 8) of Ram's as rentals. Everything from a 2018 pentastar quad cab to a 2022 Laramie with the GT Package and eTorque hemi. I have enjoyed all of them. The interiors are always nice and laid out well and the ride is impressive. I am a fan of the dial shifter on the dash freeing up space on the console, and the 8 speed transmission is tuned to near perfection right from the factory.

    I just am not interested in their engine options. The hemi is fine, but with the high elevation towing I do I would rather have an Ecoboost/iForce/Gm 6.2L/3.0 Duramax. That eTorque G/T I had was in Banff and so I did get a chance to drive it around in the mountains at some decent elevations and it was no Ecoboost.

    I had a Jeep Liberty CRD that had a VM Motori 4 cylinder diesel. Same company that made the Ecodiesel. The Ecodiesel had nearly the same issues as the Liberty motor did as if they never learned their lesson, which is what steered me away from that engine. My buddy, who is a huge diesel guy(to the point that he has a side business custom building turbos), has an Ecodiesel Grand Cherokee and absolutely hates the thing.

    You're absolutely a outlier when it comes to being a 1/2 ton owner.

    I never said anything about taxes though, did I? So that is where I am a little confused as to you statement. I said I make money on the money I borrowed, and with interest rates where they are, I am making enough to offset my mortgage, which includes the money I borrowed.

    Friend of mine took me for a ride in his slightly used Tahoe he bought last year and showed me this and I was highly jealous of it. I don't know if they engineered it into the new Chevy truck interiors but it wouldn't be a bad concept to see spread to other makes.

    I'd give back my pushbutton and remote activated electronic tailgate release or my little electronic pop up washer nozzle for my front grill camera in exchange for this.

    Anton Yelchin was critical of that mechanism. Very critical, in fact.

    @Bannerman

    Call them Chrysler, call them Dodge. I don't care myself. I just hope nobody posts any more Minivan pics.

    @mass-hole
    I can't stand dials myself. My 4wd selector is dial in both the Tundra and 4Runner.
    Give me a good old Lever so I know its in - the less electronics the better.

    Oh wow, that's unusable. I'm eyeing an F-250 for my next truck simply because I'm regularly bumping up against my 1600 pound payload.

    ya, none of the 1/2 tons have much honestly, my ram was really low too.

    This tundra is at least over 1300 so I can get in and still have 1K left which fits my needs

    if I need to go heavy, I just take one of the vans I have for the business, 350 transit, has like 4K +

    1500ish for a half ton (by definition) is pretty reasonable. But 1100 is pathetic, when you consider how fat most people are you could be overloaded with 4 adults.

    if you think that is bad , look at the top trim crewcab rams, the are under 1K or at least they were when I owned one. Ram totally (used to anyway) sandbag their ratings, it was a overall high rating but wasn't truck specific at all and was before you put all the options and packages on etc, so there were some loaded Laramie crew cabs, etc that were under 1,000 I remember from Ramforumz, where I belonged back then

    when I found out we were having twins in 1994 I sold the wifes car and bought a Ford Aerostar Sport Like this one for her.
    I watched as it started to break down on us after year one.
    Not to be out done. I traded it in on a the new design Windstar. Another stellar choice.
    Have not owned a Ford product since then.

    My grandfather found out the hard way that Ford stopped stocking parts for the Winstar when they stopped making it so he traded it in on a Freestar.

    He was a slow learner. :rofl:
