Sorry for being so long. I need a little help here.I am in the process of having a mid life crisis. i have always wanted a corvette. I love the new stingrays. I don't know shit about them. I started building one on their website, after like 40 mins of picking all the options I came to the realization there wasn't a manual transmission. I'm Like WTF????? I had the same problem when I was looking at the GT500, no manual transmission. So now I am totally bummed out. I really don't want an older vette simple because it is not new. I can throw a harrop in the truck, but after all it is still a truck. I just need someone with an supercharger in their truck to reassure me that, that will be sufficient. I am still considering other options....Porsche Mercedes, Audi, BMW 100-130k disposable income. Anything I am missing or suggestions ?....Thanks

Most vehicles don't come in a manual.... best you will do is find something sporty with paddle shifters. So if the manual is the deal breaker, your options are very limited.
What is the goal of the vehicle? Is this a show car, driven to the golf course once a month, are you hitting the track? You really don't tell us anything besides you want a manual and then list vehicles that aren't manuals, and a price point.

My buddy just got a new M3 with the manual and likes it a lot. There are still a few cars out there that come with them

Agreed, hence why I said limited.

I’m not a fan of German cars but Porsche still has a manual.

Also I might suggest you drive some of these before making the decision on the manual.

honestly if you’re looking for fun, Miata’s and WRXs come with manuals and are an absolute hoot to drive. Plus they are cheap and you don’t mind beating on them so much. Plenty of money left over for track days and tires and keeping your truck.

Sorry, supercharged Tundra is no replacement for a manual sports car.

    Function before sparkle.
Exactly this. It won’t be sufficient if you are looking at a Corvette. Even with 550 hp it’s still a full size truck.

Yeah forgot all about those, my boss had 1.... super fast
I am not hitting the track, it is a road car, all the companies listed I believe have manuals, but then again I could be wrong.
This is probably my best bet or a wrx, just going to take a lot more research.... thanks all

Is there a specific reason you want a manual? It's been proven time and time again the auto has faster lap times.

I would go drive a C8 and then see if that doesn't change your mind. With that disposable income...see if you can find a Z06. Don't get the Z07 package though. GM won't even touch those carbon fiber wheels.

You will have to order a Z06 to get into your range pricing.

For the price point, you could always take a look at a Factory Five and build exactly what you want while also having something unique.

Why not just get a GR86 AND a supercharger? I don’t have one but if I had $130 to spend I probably would.

You can buy my 97 BMW 850CSi V12, Dual Dinan Turbos, Manual with only 25K miles on it, last one that rolled outta the factory for the US market. Picked it up myself in Munich, drove it through the autobahn and to Rotterdam, ship it to Galveston and in my garage ever since :) But is gonna cost you :)

Drive it, sell it, or store it? That conundrum gives me too much anxiety. It would be a super cool conundrum to be in especially with a V12 Beamer….

    Is this a buy-only case?

Also, why are you saying no to the track? I've driven fast cars and get it, they're fun. But IMO street cars are more so accidents/tickets waiting to happen. I can guarantee you nothing beats the experience of a motorcycle on a track. For a lot less money invested in the machine, and a six-figure total budget, you could have endless seat time and tires. Plus, track weekends are fun, regardless of wheel count.

Go drive the 'Vette... Today's tuned automatics are vastly different and will allow most drivers to do faster laps than they could in the same car with a manual.

8 speed dual clutch trans w/paddle shifters, probably does that cool rev matching blip of the throttle for you on downshifts... Z51 pkg does 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, 11.2 1/4 miles @ 122mph, and holds over a G on the skidpad?!

Manual, schmanual... go get your Stingray man!! You could get the Z06 AND supercharge the Tundra with your $130K budget.

Grab a Camaro ZL1. Vettes are great, but I’ve seen, and heard of multiple with coolant leaks. My buddy just sold his second Z06. He still has his Tesla Plaid, Porsche 911 Carrera Turbo S, and 2wd rc sc’d tundra for his fun vehicles. His Porsche is super fun, but that’s a price tag of over $200k lol

I'm saying no to the track, simply because my life is too busy now...I just want a nice sports car with a manual transmission, and was really disappointed with the vette not having one.
