Icons sound like 1872 cover wagon going down the oregon trail. if you have icons...take those dumb plastic spacers out.. noise fixed. Dear icon - engineer better.

something like suspension I think is going to be very personal and very subjective to preference. While I am ecstatic with my purchase and think my truck drives awesome, it is a somewhat stiff ride. I think it performs well. I also lack the experience and knowledge of many here, maybe my opinion will change?

mine is stage 8/billet with remote resi 2.5 shocks.

I knew about the issues with the rxt kit before purchase. We already have plans for
The deavers when needed. This was a kit and easy.

gotta say? My leafs don’t have plastic spacers and don’t make noise, I’m at about 4K already. At least I don’t see plastic spacers?

admittedly, my shop may have removed them
    and not told me.

gotta chance to to some unexpected oil roads (soft roads?) today.

Well, ran into my first not as advertised. My Sdhq kit supplied hoses different od than factory, the constant tension clamps don’t fit.

also missing the billet battery hold down part.

Gotta figure out what to do now. Likely putting my truck back together and gonna have to redesign the coolant portion of the kit.

Yeah there are little plastic spacers between the leafs. they are white. I have to do a diff flush and radiator flush in a few weeks and i will see about taking them out.

Installed the sdhq switch panel and the rcr force 12 in anticipation of front and rear e lockers going in, in September. It’s not 100% I had the wrong fuse tap to tap into the ignition wire. Also need to find a better route for the power cable. But it’s in and functional for now.

Still waiting on gears from Nitro, apparently, they are backordered 30+ days.

Let's talk auxiliary lighting, Amber VS Clear.

I get amber cuts through snow/fog/dust etc better than clear. Is there any distinct advantage to clear in any location? Clear appears brighter?

If you are just now putting on 35's then it will be a while before you get to the point of buying new tires when these wear out. The pinch weld is a lot more work and you have plenty of time to make up your mind what you want to do. The BMC is best for 35's, some clear most have issues but you also have the body mount relocation option

This is before I was done, it’s almost all the way in. One last bolt if I can get it in. It was quite the fun install.

wiring harness is very likely to get redone later.

So I installed. A normal Milton air hose fitting into the arb, it’s too long and hits off the air box. Gonna have to build a 90 degree angle, of the arb to get the air fitting better situated.

this is for mainly filling up tires however, it will be nice to have a high pressure air gun to go as well.

Got the truck today. 5.29s feel better and less gear hunting.

I have not gotten a chance to play with the lockers yet. now to real good stuff gets to be started.

Amber is better in fog/dust, but it comes down to what you like. Personally I'm not a fan of super "cold white" LED lighting, which most are. I run HID headlights, 4300K and did amber covers on all my extra lighting. Lots of people like the 6000K LED color, I find it tiring on my eyes.

I wrapped my stock LED headlights in PU film just to bring the blue hue down. Don't care about reduced intensity, this bluish color was killing my eyes at night.

expensive, each locker was 1500-1600 a piece so that was 3200 alone. Another 1600 for gears and master install kit. Labor alone was 2k.

all in just under 7k not counting switch pros for the switches.

If you think you can be cheap and use a Milton air compressor adapter, once connected to a hose it hits the air box and while possible, does put unneeded stress on the adapter.

If you’re interested in a bit more out of a solar system, take a look at what I put together. Still running strong…

Good looking build! Lots of similarities with mine, which has served me really well.

Baja designs squadron sport on sdhq ditch light brackets. Have the brackets to add the s1s but not the lights. Have to add those later.
These are in spot beam pattern.

Will do, gonna end up impersonating a sponsored rig over the next couple of years. (Lol)

I will say, I played with a lot of lights and considered so many options, the fact I can rebuild these and change beam patterns ultimately won me over. Also, the Red Bull collaboration on the Baja truck videos on YouTube are amazing!
