I'm due for the next oil change in our 2013 Corolla. Just hit 100,000kms.

So weird seeing the speedo the other way around with mph/whatever that is you guys use

 

Also are you one of those people that drive with your fog lights on 24/7?

Yeah, time flies. Think this is the 4th oil change. Going on time, not miles.

 

I normally leave my fogs on. So if the headlights are on, the fogs are running. But my headlights are on auto, so I guess not 24/7.

 

Same here, fogs/headlights on only when dark.

118 and change here. Last oil change was at 110. We obviously got off schedule slightly at some point in the last 10 years.

 

Probably have better luck if you drive it to @T-Rex266's house.

 

I drive with my headlights on all the time. Fog lights off unless it's foggy. Partially because you can't see the dash in the Corolla otherwise. Partially to take away one possible excuse for the morons to cut me off or crash into me.

 

Not sure that drive would be worth it for just a detail....

 

No, that was on my drive to work on Sunday. It was getting dark and there was about 100ft max of visibility due to fog. I only run fogs in the fog, especially since I put yellow bulbs in my fog lights.

 

granted, we need them about 75% of the time

 

This is the same for me now that I think about it.
Fogs are always in the on position and lights are always on auto unless it’s really raining hard.

 

I read about that and had the exact same thoughts. That’s the hybrid truck I’ve wanted for a decade.

 

So it's a hybrid, but uses the engine to generate electricity for the motor(s) instead of driving the wheels. That might actually be viable.

 

Anything & everything Chrysler will have a MINIMUM of 6 recalls and then owners will fight like hell throughout their warranty Lifetime...

When you work the service dispatch desk of one of the busiest dealerships you see exactly what the F@C& can & will go sideways...

That's a nice payload capacity even with both a battery and gas engine. Makes me wonder what Toyota would be capable of if they put a little effort into their engineering.

 

Very similar to a diesel-electric locomotive, if I understand correctly. In my opinion, something like this is the future, rather than BEVs.
