WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR 3RD GEN TUNDRA TODAY?

Day 5 of Truck in the shop . Dealer has had several zoom calls with Toyota to try to fix issue . Being told regen braking is not working causing VSC and pre collision warnings to go off . They thought it was due to the 35’s but was not once they took them off.

 

Same /Uggg but worth it !

 

Added Chrome Stoppers front fache and Locker Down Safe, Talons garage skid plate for TRD OR 3” lift.

 

That's super helpful! I want to move up to a metric 35, I have 33's now. Just not wanting the mpg's to take another hit. Gives me something to think about. Thanks!

Has anyone removed the black wrap on the 1794? I assume it is painted underneath. Was it hard and how did you go about it?

 

Just installed a new catalytic converter shield. Was debating between the Talon and the Addautomotive one but decided on the Talon. Seemed a bit more heavy duty

 

There’s a thread about this for the 3rd gen. Looks like a few guys have already done it.

 

Got my ditch light brackets on. Now waiting for my KC lights to show up at work to put them on.

Well, my '07 engine seized unexpectedly and since nobody would warranty their refurb'd engine if I installed the TRD supercharger, I opted to get a 3rd gen. First, put a deposit down w/ my local dealer on a '24 Limited CrewCab due in 41 days. I still kept looking as I really need a truck for work. Found a '23 1794 CrewCab w/ 6.5' bed in Roanoke, VA. Worked out a deal over the phone with Keith at Haley Toyota of Roanoke on Thursday (less than what the '24 limited was going to cost me). Rented a car for a one way trip. Drove up Friday morning, test drove it, signed the papers, and drove away with it. 12 hours of drive time round trip, but it was worth it. Loving my new truck!

 

Love the rich cream interior. Had to fly, then drive 11hrs to acquire mine, worth it.

 

Same dealer I got my '23 Platinum from in September. GREAT COLOR BTW

 

Upgraded all speakers to Focal Flax Evo hooked to a JL Audio vx800/8i, 2-10in JL Audio TW3s hooked to a JL Audio RD1000 in an MTI acoustics stage 3 box

 

CBI Covert front bumper, APEX 12 winch, CBI ditch light brackets, ditch lights installed. MAYBE I'll give her a wash later

 

...but you haven't set your garage opener yet? Not gonna lie, the sound system is probably easier

 

Has anyone used one of the mini amps or preamps or whatever they are like the beat sonic? What's your feedback?

 

Removed the TRD4x4 and dealership decals off the bed. Better look imo

 

I was the first one here to get it. Works good, imo. Nice little extra bump even for my JBL system

Looks great! If you don’t mind sharing, where did you purchase and how much did it cost? Did you install or have it done?

 

MTI Acoustics did everything. Price wise, let’s just say not cheap lol. You’re welcome to price out just the speakers and amp on Crutchfield and the box on their website. Add in 15 hours of labor for sound reading treatment/install/tuning
