Hello everyone and thank you for allowing me to join this group.

I recently bought a 2004 Tundra SR5 TRO with a double cab and 160,000 miles on her. The truck was incredibly clean for being in Massachusetts, hardly any rust and no rot.

My 4X4 high light blinks for several miles then the light will stay on. Truthfully, I’m not sure if the 4-wheel drive is engaged while the light is blinking. Could this be more of a vacuum issue?
    Thanks

Welcome aboard sir! Sorry to hear about your 4wd troubles. There is no vacuum activation for the 4wd system, all electric. You may be having problems with the electric actuators. If not used regularly they can become corroded and non-op. Good idea to use it at least monthly. When the light is blinking, the system is not recognizing the truck as being in the 4wd state selected.
