There's already been 5 mass extinction events since life started on this planet, roughly 4 bil yrs ago.
My theory is that the 6th already happened.
Some group of computer/NASA geeks moved off planet and created a huge AI sims program and we're all just simulated consciousness.
There's really no other way to explain the out of control clown world nonsense that's been going on in the last couple decades.

 

Woke up to an inch of heavy wet snow, and more coming down. Reeeeaaaally just wanted to go back to bed.

 

We are supposed to keep getting snow until at least 10 AM. I walked out the door before the forecast got much further than that.

 

Our high today will be 41° and we don't drop below a 40% chance for snow until after 5 PM.

Not really. I mean, Christmas decorations will be on sale, but it's not like there are extra good deals the day after Christmas. I do like the original idea of Boxing Day, though.

 

Yup, and that is basically our Boxing Day, but now companies are shit and just jack up prices before putting it "on sale" at the regular price or a small discount. It used to be a good deal, but now you are better off shopping year round for random sales because they frequently beat BF deals. Boutique/specialty stuff still gets some good sales on BF, but it's not the same as it was even 10 years ago.

 

When the 20-something spending daddy's money on that toy blows the engine, you'll be able to buy it for $20k, clean out the cocaine and hooker glitter, buy a $30k Hellcat Redeye engine, Spend $10k getting it installed and tuned, and save yourself $300k.

I wonder if the owner told the manager 'if it sits on the lot more than 6 months, you can knock 10% off the MSRP to get it sold'.

Man, we are quiet lately.

Had the Corolla in my garage for almost a week. Now that it's my commuter, I quickly realized my son hasn't been taking care of it. Had to do a full detail, clean the grime out of the trunk seals and two coats of paint sealant. She's all cleaned up now and my OCD is calming down. Will change the oil this weekend and then she's ready for more commuting.

I'm feeling bad because I'm about 400 miles past the OCI on our Corolla and I just don't have time to get it done. FIL offered to change the oil in it for me this week, though, which was nice of him.
