purgatory, co had a ranch where we unhooked the towed jeep from the rv, and the rancher came out, invited us in, his wife made us steak & veggie dinner (12 if us. Gma & gpa, 5 grandkids & 5 guests.) the next morning the rancher took us on a guided horseback tour. Gpa might've slipped the dude some money, but the most welcoming expierience in my life was a rancher from tx that lived in co. That was probably '04ish.

I only loathe them when I have lots of produce, because they don't do here what HEB is doing there.

Yeah, I'm thinking that was probably a hit job. The odds of that happening 'naturally' seem waaaay too slim.

    Go OEM.

I would just rebuild oem and have the cheapies as spare, they definitely bind more than oem. I think someone has extra worm drive clamps for boots instead of the weird oem clamp

woulda when i coulda, but i didnt wanna have to eat $150 of core charge.

i have the parts from bmf's busted cv, the balls & cage can handle way more than the boot allows. Dunno about the porsche 930 boot.

Exactly. And CarCareNut has a video which may even give you the p/n, but definitely shows you the process. Edit: Wait - rebuild kit may not work with this.

Wow, that's a heartwarming story:thumbsup:. That must be that southern hospitality. That shit would rarely if ever happen up this far north (MI), esp with that many people, and not even 18yrs ago was it that different...
Adults would be a threat for suing for some dumb ass injury... Horse riding... hell NO, and the kids would be suspect for breaking all kinds of shit or stealing it. That's just my tainted northern perspective, but that story made me smile:)

Have you ever spent a bunch of time in a more densely populated area? People walk around in the streets like a bunch of loose MF monkeys...:facepalm:drunk and high monkeys. Howling and carrying on, and fighting... its like a fuckin Zoo.
I'm surprised more of them don't get plowed over, they don't give 2 shits if a car is coming, Some even LIKE to make you slow down or stop.

We have someone killed by a car at least 1x a month if not more. It's just terrible, the sanctity of the crosswalk is completely gone.

If I can tap into the hive of knowledge here.. are there any other Toyotas that have this style rearview mirror in them?
Heading to the JY for my washer spray nozzle tomorrow and If there isn't a tundra there I could find one on another vehicle, same with the washer nozzle I guess.

dunno about the mirror, but I used to seek Saab 9-5 drivers washer nozzles - they have 3 sprayers & are low profile which makes clearing snow easier.
I assume they all fit to the same size hose.

I'm not sure Shifty, when they replaced my windshield it came with that mount on it, the guy told me that was OEM.
The broken windshield that was removed had the standard glue on one you do afterwards, so apparently was not OEM.
in 2mo w/o it I've only went to look in it half a dozen times (I have a cap on the truck), so unless I can get one for 10-15 i'll just go without it.

Your Cap looks great, I like those that roll over the bedside like that, very nice.

Yeah, some of our earlier model trucks, like @Tundra2's, have the Donnelly mirrors, and they use a special mount. Donnelly used weirdo mounts for their stuff.

I need a new mirror setup. My mirror mount is too loose; and there doesnt seem to be a way to tighten it. Thinking about using a go-pro mount.

I have a spare Gentex too. Got an unobtanium one w v5 and temp and homelink and I think Bob changed to green for me too. Vs the good but not perfect v4 in orange that I bought first? But I haven’t hooked up the harness on either the ‘05 or ‘02 so I don’t know which is which of the 3 mirrors. Only the 12 pin taco ice blue in my ‘16 is wired. Someday gotta get that done and then sell off the spare.
