Console vault makes a good one. I think the OEM one gets it through them.

I have had one order from them since the end of June, one of the first things I ordered for my truck, they keep pushing it down the road, be told 2 more weeks, a month etc. I had one in my Titan, great safe built well, but this time around their customer service sucks. Hopefully mine will ship soon then. Thanks for the update, more info than I get from them.

I've been checking in with them periodically to see if it was out yet and I have to agree that the communication has been pretty sparse.

I'm not big on pre ordering anything, as it seems once your money is in hand, there is no longer an incentive to get the product out.

I paid for my RCI fuel tank skid plate 3 months ago and it finally came this week.

I hear you, when I ordered over the phone, they said nothing about it being pre-order, the lady in the office, older lady kept saying it will ship in 2 weeks, finally a younger lady gave me a real info after emails and phone calls, me getting a little pissed off. 2 weeks ago they said 2-3 weeks, so will see, coming up on the 2 week mark again.
Also waiting on my Dirty Deeds exhaust, but they were upfront on the time to build and ship. Chromestoppers with their new mustache chrome delete or color match is takign a little longer than the due date they gave me. Tufskinz takes awhile to ship stuff out.

I just received an email that they haven't received the safes yet, so the person from Lockerdown that sent me the message on facebook straight up lied about them being available.

    What. the. fuck.

Yelp, I emailed them this morning, asking about mine since it was 2 weeks since last time, they said 2 1/2 more weeks, probably my last order from them.

    Did you ever get yours?

They made a post on their facebook page saying it's available, but don't show any actual photos of the product. I'd like to see what it looks like installed before I order one.

It took awhile to get it, they didnt say anything about pre-order when I ordered mine, it has taken 4 months to get mine, their customer service in my opinion sucks, kind of disappointed with them, this is my 3rd safe from them, really like their products, but for some reason this time what a pain in the arse.

I Emailed, texted and called over a week ago. No one responded to email or phone #. Web site says won't fit a '24 1794 (which I must doubt but wanted confirmation).
    Off the list.

Has anyone looked into replacing the lock on the Toyota supplied safe?

Getting in touch by phone was easy part, guess they are now reproducing them a little quicker, they are heavy duty and offer a variety of locks. I would just keep trying, as pissed as I was, really like their product and quality, plus built here in the states.

Hey ya'll... I'm actually going in a different direction. The new truck I just purchased had the safe pre-installed and I actually don't want it! I'd much rather have the extra space. The trouble I'm in is that Toyota can't seem to find the part number of the original bolts that are supposed to be there to attach the console itself (when you install the safe, you remove the OEM bolts and replace them with the longer bolts + collar that comes with the safe kit).

    So three questions:
    1. For those of you installed this safe, can you give me the specs of the bolts you removed from the truck to make room for the new, longer bolts for the safe?

    2. ...even better, can I buy the OEM "short" bolts from you if you no longer need them?

    3. Is there anyone in the Austin, TX area who wants my brand new "take-off" safe?

I'm in Houston and I might be heading to ATX sometime next week. I might be interested in taking the safe off your hands.

I was gonna remove my safe that came with mine. If anyone near Atlanta would like to purchase it, I'd be willing to let it go at a discounted rate.

Thank you for that info, I was just trying to figure out what bolts are needed to go in once I removed the safe. You read my mind.

Highly recommend the console vault especially if you have the higher trim console. The safe is positioned towards the back instead of the passenger side, which works well with the center tray slide…more efficient use of space.

Not sure where on the forum to post this but has anyone found a lid cover for the rear tray that is open? What a bogus design that is on the Limited and lower trim levels. You can’t really leave anything loose there or it will spill when you lift the main console lid. I found one on eBay but it is cheap piece of crap with visible injection molding marks. They have a nice lid on the higher trim levels. I guess my Limited TRD offroad truck was too cheap in price for Toyota to put a nice lid there…

I ended up ordering one from them on 11/27 during their cyber week sale. There was zero indication on their website that they weren't available. I called on 12/5 to see why it hadn't shipped and was told it would ship the next week. It still hasn't.

I think I'm past the fool me twice stage.
