So I impulse bought a sig romeo 7 for 100 bucks awhile back for one of my 16" ar's. Made the drive out to try to zero and ended up with a shifting, flickering dot. I went home irritated, got my return slip emailed to me and shipped it out. Just got a call from Sig today. They looked at it and agreed to replacement but have no black 7s in stock.

They offered a tan 7s or an upgrade to a 7 so I took the 7 which is on its way now. 62k life and a qd mount included. This sells for twice what I paid for my 7 and is a bit closer to the duty realm.

Gonna have to sit in the bin for awhile as I just made my last rifle trip for awhile today to zero something else and don't feel like going back out to dial in any rifles any time soon. But eventually it'll go on something and then the cheap dot it replaces will go in the parts bin. Or it will go on what I decide I want to shoot at 100/200 and get swapped back and fourth with a scope.

I am amazed they offered that option rather than just telling me I'm getting the tan version of the 100$ 7. That's some customer service.

    For sure...

I bought a Romeo/Juliet combo from an online vendor (was a few years ago I don't recall their name) and they turned out to be fakes.

I reached out to Sig to let them know about the vendor and they hooked me up with a smoking deal on another set. Plus I disputed the original charge with my CC and got that cost refunded.

I’ve been competing with Sigs for years, love them! As far as optics go, I can’t go too spendy, but Vortex has always treated me well. Great CS too!

Sig even offered an upgrade program.

I had my heart set on a P320 RXP Compact with a Romeo sight. There is Atleast 10 lawsuits, even from law enforcement agencies stating the P320 goes off on its own. Not a gun you want to drop. Evidently dropped at the right angle and the mechanics of the trigger may cause it to go off in its own.

None the less, we were just told that effective 1/1/24 we will no longer be able to use the local PD range because they have banned the P320 from their facility.

I am very familiar however it’s much ado about nothing and far from a debacle. They are making money hand over fist on this platform and will continue to do so.

The 320 is a solid platform. I’d bet dollars to donuts the main issue (outside of the original drop issue that was quickly remedied with ease and has been fixed) is a holster issue and not particularly a firearm issue.

I’ll keep mine and continue to buy more.

    Typical government/LE knee jerk reaction.

Much like the EoTech situation years ago. After the nonsense they pulled departments across the nation stopped using EOTechs. Did they need to blanket stop their use, no they didn’t.

I chose to personally get rid of mine not because I was really that concerned with the issue but the fact that they 100% knew of the issues yet withheld that information from our Military and LE.
I have since refused to buy a product from them on that principal.
Trijicon has gotten a ton of my business since.

However I believe they were owned by L3 Communications at the time and has since been sold or acquired by someone else.

    I’m struggling to follow this.
You sent in a black 7. The didn’t have a black 7 to replace it, but they offered you a FDE or a black 7 to replace it. Isn’t that the same thing they didn’t have in stock?

all that aside, I’ve been very happy with both of my 4T red dots with circle plex.

we use ACOGS exclusively in our Agency, agents were given Eo Techs since they were replaced by acogs. Still waiting for the final field tests so we can get a red dot for our Glocks.

    I bought a P365XL awhile back.
My first pistol with an optic.
The Romeo had blemishes on the glass.
I emailed Sig, they sent a shipping label and sent me another one..

    x6ej2rtk_06efb7d8905baea802f73055621c5acdca788d72.jpgbe9o3m9h_ac481dd66e93bd849a67805f095f7112dbf821d5.jpg

The replacement sat on my desk for 6 months and I finally remembered to re-mount it.
I couldn't find the screws anywhere, I know I didn't send them in with the warranty optic.
So I emailed Sig again with my lost screw issue.
They immediately sent the mounting screws and the adjusting Allen wrenches...

I've bought and sold many a Sig Sauer pistol in the last 20 years.
First time I needed to use their customer service..
    I'm happy with the result..

Sigs CS is usually pretty good.
Those Romeo Zeros suck. By far the optic I send back the most across all reputable optics manufacturers. Had quite a few that were dead out of the package.
Holosun 407K is likely 2nd place.
Both companies are good about replacing/repairing quickly.
But I don’t want to have to be in the position to send it back.

Pretty much only purchase Trijicon and Steiner for my personal guns anymore.
