I have a 2020 Toyota Tundra SR 5 XP with a towing package. I thought Tundras 2020 and 2031 didn’t have a transmission cooler. When I was getting my truck serviced I asked Toyota what it would cost for the transmission cooler to be installed. They called back and told me I already have a transmission cooler installed. When I picked up the truck they showed me what they are calling the transmission cooler and I’m not really sure. I found my window sticker for my VIN which does say I have a transmission cooler. So can anyone confirm that this is a transmission cooler or not. I took a picture of it from outside the front bumper. It’s the small black set of coils that are in front of the radiator toward the bottom just behind the front bumper. Thanks

2018 was the last year that Toyota installed transmission coolers. As mentioned, get a kit from the link that was posted. These trucks have a "puck" that the diagrams calls a cooler but it's just a warmer/thermostat if I remember correctly. Your sticker may be referencing that "cooler".

I appreciate the responses and I didn't think it had one being 2020. They referenced the part on the side of the transmission and may be all they looked at. Also I'm hoping it was a young mechanic not knowing a lot about Tundra's. But I was also unware of what that cooler was and now I know myself but I expected them to have known. I will be educating them about this coming soon. Thanks again.

LOL, of course they called that a transmission cooler; I think you dodged a bullet.

You don’t want a dealership’s mechanic nursery installing the cooler for you anyway. They probably would have underfilled/overfilled the ATF, leave the old O-rings in from the spacer and gotten the lines backwards.
