Thinking of getting a new Tundra but unsure what model/options to go for, what are your choices?
Which options work for towing? Air suspension? Hybrid option? Do all trucks have 360 view cameras?

To sum up answers to your questions....Different strokes for different folks.

    Check out:

Pretty much all questions you asked can be answered if you compare options on different trims on the Toyota website.

If you want to zero in on specific topics familiarize yourself with using the search function on here to narrow down to specific topics and you can also narrow it down to 3ed gens too. Everything you asked has been discussed to death.

    Lots of stuff!
Not all trims come with the 360 cameras. They are great and a must.

The TTV6 is great in all the renditions. The hybrid is not necessary but seems to be a good bump in power. Just speaking from others' experiences.

Tow mirrors come on some trims or you might be able to order them as a dealer installed option. I don't use them but my trailer is 7'-4" wide so my regular mirrors work fine.

There is a rear camera attachment that can go on the back of the trailer. I have not seen much on it other than a video. I would ask your dealer about it. It would be fun to watch them scratching their heads on this. :)

The auto levelling suspension sounds like a nice feature. I have the TRD off road suspension and it does fine along with my weight distribution hitch.

Be aware that some trims don't come with a built in brake controller. Adding one sounds like a bit of work.

Do you know if this can be added after purchase? I bought a limited off the lot, but think air suspension would be useful.

the OEM system isnt practical to add after the fact, its way too integrated, but there are some aftermarket solutions you may want to consider, just do some searching on here

I have just an SR5 but it has the TRD OR Premium pkg. And the highest SR5 pkg. The big screen is nice when you're wanting to see several angles all at once. I've been fine without tow mirrors. I am unsure if all 360° cameras are the same. I can look at all the side walls of the front and rear tires. I think on the Limiteds and up have a PVM option (panoramic view monitor) where mine has the option under a different name. So I don't know how they compare. Towing has been soo much better than my 2019 or 2014 Tundras. That low end torque is great.

I despise when peeps say "use the search function" rather than just help a new member out. No need to be an ass.

IN MY EXPERIENCE... I bought the hybrid to help with towing. It pulls like a beast. I have a Keystone Springdale 202QBWE. It tows that trailer with ease.

YMMV of course, but I recommend the hybrid and don't get the cheap seats! SR doesn't have many "toys" like brake controller, panorama view, digital rear view mirror, tow/haul mode, etc.

I don't have OEM air but don't miss it with WDH. Only things I wish I had were the power running boards and HUD. First world problems, of course.

I think it entirely depends on what you are towing (and how often). I have a non-hybrid SR5 without towing mirrors, 360-camera, or air-suspension. I pull a 21ft fiberglass TT (3600lbs dry) with a stabilizing WDH. Visibility is fine with the standard mirrors. Braking/brake-controller seem fine. The Tundra pulls very strong and the whole setup is very stable. Aside from the power/torque the 10-speed is a big part of the magic. Standard backup cam works great for hitching and the auto-parking brake also helps. I also have an enclosed cargo trailer (6x12) and flatbed rafting trailer which I have not pulled yet, but I am not worried about how those will go. That's just my situation...

It really depends on what you plan to tow. Whatever it is pay attention to payload-capacity since that is probably your limiting factor (and your tongue-weight subtracts from that). Good luck.

2023 {1794} Tundra towing 25' 6k lb camper in tow + mode with air suspension /auto leveling. Ample power and stability throughout the hills and valleys of Pennsylvania. The manual lowering feature is a plus when hooking up or dropping camper. 360 cameras are OK, I use them all. still had to add a camera to back of camper to see what's behind you. Would be nice if there was a way to tap into the main unit for things like that.

Don’t get air suspension. The ride is pretty jittery when unloaded. WDH is better for leveling the truck and transferring the load onto the front axle (air suspension only raises the rear up, doesn’t transfer any load off the rear axle).
360 panoramic view camera is great but not really helpful when towing. I heard there is a wireless trailer camera coming out soon from Toyota but haven’t seen any details. https://youtu.be/qBRznQfN8jo?si=3XhijWpVdhvTwOeb
Non hybrid is definitely enough for towing but if you have a heavier trailer, over 8k lbs, the hybrid tows more confidently.

For lots of us, that IS helping the new member out. The search function here is beyond fantastic. You can restrict to thread title only to get entire thread results on your search topic, you can search one particular subforum, and you can search posts from any member(s). Hit "Advanced" in the drop down menu, and you can pick a date in the past and only search posts made since that date. Plenty of times I'm trying to find something I know I read in the last week or two. GREAT feature. And there is so much more than what you or I could fit into a single reply.

I'm not saying don't reply to the newbies; but suggesting the search feature is not a dick move. This search is awesome, and I think a lot of new members don't try it because they expect it sucks like other forums' search features.
