    Compiling a list for anyone interested in wheeling.

    Generally, we run moderate and difficult trails, most will require being lifted with larger AT or MT tires. Skid plates and/or sliders aren't absolutely necessary but is highly recommended, depending on the trail. If we're running a Green (easy) or Blue (moderate) Trail, you don't need any experience to join us, first timers are welcome... just as long as your truck is prepared and you're prepared to get some pinstriping as we usually have no idea how tight a trail is until we run it. If we're running a Red (Black Diamond) Trail, you will freak out if you don't have any crawling experience, so I don't recommend first timers for those trips. We'll have some single day trips and we'll have some multiple day camping trips coming up.

    For most of our trips, most importantly is protecting the truck. We spend most of our time now on Blue (medium) and Red (difficult) Trails. Only Green (easy) trails we do are usually getting to the Blue and Red Trails. So armor, clearance, and traction are pretty much a must now. That includes...

    Requirements for the truck...
    - atleast 2" Coilover lift (3" preferably) with atleast 34" tires (35" MT preferred but AT works also)
    - sliders (definitely no low hanging steps or nerf bars)
    - full size spare tire (that means matching the size you are running)
    - recovery points front and rear
    - full skids (engine, transmission, gas tank), not absolutely necessary but highly recommended
    - removing your tailpipe is highly recommended. They will likely get smashed.

    For Multiday Trips...

    - Tent (preferably a quick pop-up) and camping gear

    I'm probably forgetting a few things but these are the basics. These are also some of the cheaper stuff, ofcourse there are more expensive versions of everything I listed. For anyone just getting into off-roading, not all of this is absolutely necessary so I wouldn't go buying all of this until you've been out a few times and you're sure you want to get into offroading.

    I'm down, but I'm 100% stock at the moment. I blew all my money in Reno this weekend.

    I did that this morning. I had dreams of a top to bottom upgrade. Instead I lost a nice lift.

    I feel discriminated because the list is separated between off-road and meet and greet!

    As of now, @dcsleeper408 and I are planning to run Poker Flat this Saturday, Sept. 2nd. I won't know for sure for a couple of days since I've got major back pain right now. If we end up going, we'll probably meet somewhere in the East Bay around 7am and caravan. Then meet up with anyone else in Downieville, CA at around 11am. Just a heads up. Will post more info in the next couple of days when things are more concrete.

    Day trip. I'm a little worried about the rocky section in the pics for any of the stock height guys but doesn't look too bad otherwise.

    So you're in Matt? My back was just about healed and then I decided to wash my truck yesterday and re-aggravated it. I'm pretty sure I'll be ok by Saturday. Otherwise I'm going to be drugged up. :confused:

    So... Poker Flat is finally on! This Saturday, Sept. 2nd. So far we have...
    @joonbug - Joon
    @dcsleeper408 - Mark
    @GodlessPro - Matt & Son
    and probably 3-5 more trucks of Mark's friends.

    If anyone else is interested in going, let me know.

    We plan to meet in Dublin at around 6:30am and will leave no later than 7am.

    That should get us to the trailhead (N39 33.477 W120 50.043) by around 10:30am and should head out no later than 11am.

    Looks like it's going to be HOT... so bring some cold drinks and bring a sammich for lunch.

    I wouldn't give an exact time. There are a few fires in the area. The big Ponderosa fire about 3500 acres and 10% contained. As well as Pleasant Fire on the 49 near Sebastopol about 200 acres 10% contained. Not too worried about the Ponderosa further away, but with the temps scorching and fire fighters having a hard time because the location.
    The Pleasant fire is a much smaller one, but its on our way in. Just routed both ways to trail head and trail end. No road closures at the moment, but keep in mind fires might change our travel time.

    We should be ok. This route is faster and avoids pleasant fire.

    Just saw this. I've been camping/wheeling almost every weekend so I'm almost always down. I'll likely be leaving the tundra at home and be in the Tacoma though.
    I'll pass on Poker Flat this weekend. Too damn hot over there. I'll be out near Blue Lakes this weekend (Kirkwood area) if anyone else is trying to beat the heat.
