make sure to double check the warranty. its totally different. they gave me credit for my old one and made me buy a new one at current price. so instead of the straight replacement they used to do, its now a refund of purchase price and you are on the hook for a new one at current market price. there are even class action lawsuits about it and the batteries no longer say "free replacement" on them.

The last thing I did to my 2016 Tundra was swap the chrome letters on both sides of the truck to black letters.
It does look much better now.

Then I got tired of it and stripped her naked. Took the 'B' pillar vinyl too.

 

I love the look with the B-pillar color matched

 

Yep...its just a vinyl that you can peel off and the paint is already there lol.

I am well aware.
I had mine stripped off there within a month of driving the truck home.

 

Picked up some wheels from marketplace for $50, so I start a little project. They aren't the prettiest wheels or the best shape, but I'm chasing after the gunmetal Icon six speed or SCS stealth 6 look.
Spent half a day cleaning, degreasing, and sanding on these chrome wheels to do some proper prep work.
Finally got around to priming and putting 3 coats of VHT wheel paint on yesterday afternoon. Time to wait a week to sand and put another coat of paint and some matte clear coat.
After that, I'll wait another week and attempt paint a black ring to try to copy that six speed look. We'll see how it goes.
Here's some pics below: PS I know I painted the tires, they are bald and I plan on replacing them anyway If i like how it turns out.

Anybody got the part number for the OEM PPF that goes in front of the rear wheel? Mine got scratched in Colorado.
