I have a 2019 SR5 and am wanting LED tails mostly for more brake light visibility. My current stock tails only light the bottom portion of course for braking. Tell me about the choices above or perhaps other choices in lights and what you went with and why.

The Hot Tails only come in option A now according to their site.

The VLANDS are about the same price as the hot tails, have animation on startup and look more modern. Are they bright?

The Moromitos are nice but I dont think I can justify the $650 price tag.

I kind of wanted the option B for the hot tails but every post I see says option A is their choice. I am concerned if the turn signal is visible enough.

I first thought I wanted option B, but glad I went with A.
I dislike any and all aftermarket tail lights.
They aren't cheap, but well worth the money.

Yup, and the reverse lights are much brighter than stock.
Sorry, I couldn't get the wife outside to apply brakes or put it in rev..:eek2::p

    I'm just seeing this..
I thought about you tonight as I walked to my truck after work.
I took a couple more videos to dispel any doubts about the brightness of the turn signals..
Fear not Steve, you are going to love them..
Just wait until you see the brake and reverse lights...:eek2::D

Sorry about the wind noise, and yes, this is the parking lot my cats were stolen in 2021.
    Hence the security cameras...

I think your HOTTAILs will come with resistors and a no-splice harness..
I mounted mine behind the tail light..

    Thank you.

I havent gotten these yet as I guess the owner was at SEMA. He was great and messaged me right after my order to tell me that he would get it made. People around here, and most places drive like shit and I want to at least try to be as visible as possible.

I have it on pretty good authority that you’re gonna be happy with them. :headbang:

I’ll get them put together and fired out on probably Wednesday. Travelling back from NV now!

I received my order today but no instructions? I was tired as hell when I looked at the 6 lights, harness and resistors in the box so I might be able to figure them out but I am unsure which bulb goes where. Any install vids or how to's

The middle bulb is obviously the switchback amber rev
The other 2 will only fit where they go.
The smaller goes on top, the bigger one goes on bottom.
You will completely remove the stock bulbs and sockets.
Your new wiring will install to your old socket connections.
You shouldn't need any of the extra hardware or gaskets.
Those just come with the bulbs.

Do one at a time so you'll have a reference.
From what I remember there is only one place for the resistor to plug in and it will be on the middle switchback bulb wiring.
I can pull one of mine and take more pics if needed..

You can try one of them first without the resistor, but it will probably hyperflash.

Those are God-awful, just like any other after-market tail light.
The design of the stock tail light is fine, the Hottails bulbs make it even better.
Stock look with the brightness of the sun..

gonna belabor this topic...you are dead right.

it makes the stock tails super bright in every way - while keeping the stock appearance.

Helping out here is MUCH appreciated thank you. No video instructions, yet. On my ever-growing list of things I have to get done. :bananadead: Fortunately, since we pre-assemble all of the bulbs once someone gets in there and starts trying to click things together there's really only one way that things can go. Again, appreciate you doing the legwork and pulling screenshots in here to help not only @IowaGuy , but also the next who might go searching.

Yeah  - I apologize that we don't have anything in the box for that! I might start at least inserting a card or something that points a guy to the written instructions. All said, once you get everything laid out in front of you if it doesn't make sense give me a call 406-936-0206.

The only thing that I am now seeing is missing is the instructions for the resistor. The resistor will plug into the switchback bulb in the middle. It has a small lead all its own with a unique plug that only the resistor can plug into. For mounting the resistors find a flat METAL surface behind the taillight housing to stick to that will be out of the way of the taillight popping back in as well as the damper on the driver's side.

OK, as a follow up are all installed and working. Hopefully a couple comments here will help someone else.

    1. The turn signal / amber / center lights become the hazards which I wasnt expecting or didnt read about in the description.
    2. The bulbs and wiring do only go one way. It wasnt too difficult to figure out but just took a little thought.
    3. I stuck the resistors on the center of the back of the light housing where there is a flat square surface.
    4. The second gray plug on the center connector goes to the stock plug from the bottom bulb.
    5. The new top and bottom bulbs plug into the one new harness from the top bulb.
    6. It takes a bit of force to push the bulbs in to compress the seal on the bulbs ang get them to seat. It is obvious when they do seat and they are solid in the housing.
    7. They are plenty bright and more better than stock.
    8. If I had to install again or show someone it would only take about 5 minutes per side.
