I found the regular Angels Envy to be decent but not something I would buy again. I prefer their Rye more. It’s got a maple syrup taste to it.

My LS has some jacked up pricing where the 1.0 is cheaper than the .750 L :monocle:

Ha. Mine sells the 12 for more than the 14 sometimes. Pricing... Go figure.

I had the opportunity to try two new ones this evening. The Old Forester 150 year anniversary was very good. I did get to try EH Taylor Four Grain and it was by far my favorite.

If I’m not mistaken you have had president’s choice as well as the 150th. How do the two compare? Is PC worth the extra over the 150th?

The president’s choice would definitely be my first choice! The 150th was still very good but the Presidents choice was a special bottle for sure.

Good choice! I’ve always enjoyed Russell’s Reserve. If you ever get a chance try these two. The Single Rickhouse is my favorite.

Today was definitely a good day! I’ve never found the Bombergers and Shenks before. I was told the Hardins Creek Boston is a 17 year bourbon and it’s one of Jim Beams best bourbons.

Lots of single barrel selections available from Sazerac. All it takes is buying power and connections. Basically the sales rep from Sazerac reaches out and brings samples along for 3/4 barrels. We taste each one and decide which one we want to buy. It's quite the process.

In the last year my company has bought a "single barrel" of the following items:

    Colonel Taylor small batch
    Buffalo Trace
    Sazarec Rye
    1792 full proof

I found a new Steak Restaurant in my area that has some great prices on 2oz pours. I had Weller Single Barrel for $18 a pour! That’s the equivalent of selling the whole bottle for a little over $200 versus the secondary prices being two to three times that. IMG_1590.jpg

That's a funny thing about the bourbon market these days. A lot of restaurants and bars are charging what would be equivalent, or as you've found better than secondary market pricing. Which helps bourbon connoisseur's taste bourbons that they are trying so hard to find. My restaurant group has over 300 selections. Most of which are well below market resale value.

Have you cracked that 23 shenks open yet? It's almost as good as the 21 release. Which is high on my list of quality bourbons at very affordable prices in my place. It always blows people minds once they try it.
