I’m looking at doing the same set-up on a 2024 Limited. How much offset would you recommend for the wheels to minimize rubbing? I’m currently thinking +18 or +25. Thanks!

Actually, I'm waiting for this...to be released in December. I'm not going to SEMA this year, so if anyone's going, please check out the Camberg booth (they're now merged with Magnaflow)

I don't have a specific number to recommend, and what would also need to be paired with tire size you want to run. We've been working on some things to allow for 37s. Work in progress.

I might be reaching out to you before too long. I'm thinking of ditching my Icons and going with a different front setup. I was leaning Dobinsons because of their spring rate choices up front, but I'm too in love with "on vehicle adjustments" as a feature. Do either Fox or King offer different spring rates for the front coilovers? With my winch & full bumper, I'm at max recommended preload with my Icons. I'd rather have a better spring and maintain some preload adjustability, if possible.

@AccuTune Offroad will add the correct spring rate based on your vehicle as well as adjust the valving etc.

Sounds like what you want, is exactly what we work with you on. We will review your truck and its total weight and make recommendations on spring rates. We can offer any spring rate needed and will custom tune the shocks to work with that weight and your driving style. Tuning is free, springs are not too expensive and we will swap em on when we tune the shocks.

Do it! My accutuned suspension on my 20 Tundra was amazing. I'm never buying OTS shocks without having Accutune work their magic.

What size tires and wheels are you running? What's the backspace or offset? Is there rubbing with the 37s and if so how much trimming. With the 37s have you done a speedo/shift calibrator? Im thinking about getting a stage 6 icon kit on my 23 TRD PRO and I was wanting to keep the TRD Pro wheels .

There are a few modifications that need to be done to properly fit these tires, but I don't have some of this info to share at the moment. Tire size in the photo 37x12.50x17

Question for the people who know more than I do (everyone) regarding remote reservoirs vs internal reservoirs. I'm looking to add either Icon stage 4, 5 or 6 to my 2022. I don't offroad much aside from going to the mountains in the winter to plow through some snow. I'm wanting the lift for (1) aesthetics and (2) on road ride comfort while going over bumpy/poor maintained roads, speed bumps, etc. Stock feels harsh over bumps and reveals some of the interior noises some of us have complained about.

My question is whether remote reservoirs substantially increase on road ride comfort or if internal reservoirs will essentially get me the same ride quality. I personally think the remote reservoirs look awesome even though my truck is a mall crawler. But I'm okay with going with internal reservoirs if remote won't actually increase on road ride quality.

Reservoirs don't really have much to do with ride quality. Shock/spring valving is the main factor here. Resi's add more fluid capacity to allow longer periods use before shock fade happens. In the simplest explanation.

    Good question.

In general it would likely boil down to your experience with good aftermarket shocks. Ride quality is subjective and what may ride fantastic to you, may be terrible for us. We have a lot to compare to vs someone that may have never owned aftermarket shocks. However, remote reservoirs are going to offer tunability (maybe), serviceability and durability. Durability would come from the shock operating at less pressure than an IFP (Internal Floating Piston shock). IFPs are cheap and usually not worth rebuilding and wont offer performance a reservoir shock will. However, just bc there is a reservoir does NOT mean it will magically ride better (than XYZ). That has everything to do with tuning, proper spring rate and proper setup. Icons for example are digressively valved and tend to ride on the firm/sporty side, compared to linear shocks: Fox & King.

    https://accutuneoffroad.com/ifp-vs-remote-reservoir-shocks/
    https://accutuneoffroad.com/articles/digressive-vs-linear-vs-progressive-pistons-shock-valving/

If Fox and King are an option, our custom tuning & setup support will really get that truck riding nicely over those bumpy/poor maintained roads. Let us know if we can help.

Looking for some opinions and guidance here. I recently had my rear coils swapped out with Dobinson C59-837VR to compensate for my constant load of approx 330lbs (Decked + Leitner ACS loaded). I have noticed a more significant ‘lean’ to the driver side on only the rear of the truck. Hard to tell if the bed is a little crooked, it’s weight distribution or a problem with the suspension. I’ve done a few measurements with fuel tank level… at half full there is about a 3/4 to 1in difference in rear body height (measured at apex of wheel well). On a full tank today, the passenger side is a smidge lower and the total difference is about 1/2in now.

I understand from searching that the lean is ‘within spec’ for Tundra and can be exacerbated by changes to suspension.

I crawled under and both rear coils seem a little ‘bowed’ to me. The bend seems to vary with weight and ground level. My main question is does this look ‘normal’ for rear coils?

@TRDx2 Are the springs side specific with different part numbers? Have you reached out to Dobinson to see what they say or recommend?

Don't believe so, but have reached out to Dobinson's to confirm. I didn't do the install (had my Toyota dealer perform it), so just starting to look into whether this is 'normal' due to Tundra lean or there is something off. The coils look to be positioned correctly but I'll need to get it off the ground to get a better look.

I was just under my truck yesterday swapping coils from the OME 2866s to the same C59-837VR coils you have. I can tell you that the coil in your second picture isn't seated correctly. Where the coil terminates at the bottom should be rotated in the spring saddle. There is a clear indentation in the saddle where the end of the coil should be. That coil is 100% installed incorrectly.

To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, here's a picture of a lower coil saddle. This is a generic one so it will look slightly different on the truck. The end of the coil spring should sit up against the part of the saddle where the arrow is pointing. You can see how the saddle is angled to match the angle of the coil. Your coil isn't seated correctly and causing that lean you're describing.

    upload_2023-10-25_17-13-40.png

The good news is that it's a relatively easy fix. Jack up the truck and take the weight off the axle. You might have to disconnect upper shock mount and the upper bolt on the rear sway bar link (keep an eye on your brake lines) to let the axle droop enough. Once that's done, you can rotate the springs into the correct position by hand without having to remove them completely.

    I hope that helps!

I haven’t seen much mentioned about ADS in this thread… so I went out on a limb and went with them as they have a pretty good reputation. I have completed the rear and about to move to the front once everything comes in. So far my thoughts on the rear with the with the Dobinsons 2” 770lb springs and the Dr.KDSS are that it handles my weight a lot better than before with the factory TRD Pro suspension. I haven’t had time to completely dial it in but so far it’s working well!!!

I’m running an Icon adjustable rear track bar/panhard bar. I went with it because it’s adjustable on the truck.

The other option are the drop brackets you can buy that lower the mounting point for the OE track bar.

But, as with any lifted solid axle, you’re going to need one or the other to center the axle.
