Ah, didn’t know that. Yep, 3 and Y do not have it. Idk if it’s standard for the S and X unless it’s on a Plaid

Y’all use Tesla Insurance? I do amfam through Costco but they got hacked and their shit has been down so can’t get a quote. Tesla insurance is at like $140 a month for the MYP. Which is similar to raptor

When I lived in Kansas I had a broker who got me such cheap shit. But he can’t write for Texas. And SATX seems to be pricey just because . This is a low cost of living city except that

    Houston here....

our problem is we have the kids being able to drive the Plaid.....not wise, but they do drive it when they are down from school.

because cool parents do that. not smart parents, cool parents.

But the infamous rock (Edit: Steel ball) made it through the window. Elon loves getting the people going. Wish he could walk the walk instead always talking. Deliver some damn trucks already!

Some idiot will get their Cybertruck, stick their wife in the front seat and shoot the door with their favorite handgun for a couple of likes on Instagram/YouTube and end up in jail for killing someone. You heard it here first.

the wife asked a good question:

can you set the Tesla to move the seat & steering wheel back out of the way when you open the door?

The Lexus did it...the Tundra does it.

we presently have to touch "ease of entry" before we get out.

would like it to be automatic.

We use Costco too. We had AllState and it was around $700 more for our teenage daughter. This included her 4.0GPA, all clean driving records, live in a low crime area, discounted combo etc.
we now pay $300/more a month for insurance with the teen driver. In CO, if you’re married you cannot separate policies. I.e. I cannot have my own separate policy (for the Tesla).
I’ve read up on Tesla insurance, but people are getting dinged (resulting in a higher premium) for simply driving at night or other small items (didn’t put seat belt on before moving the vehicle). I’ve read their customer insurance has long waits and hasn’t been helpful on the insurance side.

Yes, yes you can. Mine is set to go to “easy entry” upon park. When I enter it’s on easy entry until I press the brake (and pin)

I might carry Tesla insurance just to take delivery if I can’t get through to Costco connect amfam. It’s month to month

You can’t get insurance for it until you have a VIN. What’s the app show for delivery?

I would just do what you have for now. Your driving will be monitored extremely closely with Tesla insurance, so I would wait a bit before going with Tesla insurance. This way you get all the "fun" out of the way without it effecting your rates...just my .02

Whatever this forum told me to do
    I'll second this.

We don't want/need that much monitoring of our driving & basing insurance rates on that data.

I remember when Tesla was "evaluating" us for FSD. every time you stopped quick, you got dinged and your score went down.

Didnt put your seat belt on before moving the car? Dinged
Driving in the dark hours? Dinged
    Fast acceleration? Dinged
Too close to the other vehicle in front of you? Ding

Perfect opportunity to mess with the wife. Program it, but don't mention it to her. When she drives she'll be all excited, but you play dumb about doing anything. Tell her the phones must've been listening and updated it for you.
