Has anyone tried the 50 cal short antenna? I am in San Antonio, so I'm not worried about the signal. I have just read a few places that they don't fit.

A coworker has one. I'll ask him.

I am new, I searched for another thread about this but did not find one. Only thing I have done to my truck so far is the sticker in my profile pic.

I've got a 30 cal one a bit smaller than a .50 I still get signal all over my state. But I seldom use the fm am radio anymore it's mainly xm for me and that's got a different antenna on the roof. It's gonna affect your range for sure. But it sure looks cool.
Crappy pic but you can see it.

Thanks! Did the 30 cal one come with the right stud? I use XM most of the time as well.

Forgot to mention that. No it did now. I found a bolt that would fit and cut the head off. That's how I got mine to mount.

Just want to chime in and say it's crazy short. Not sure how well it would work out in the sticks.

Great point. I've got XM. Agree looks cool. If local radio reception is good I may go 50 cal too....

I have one on my pro. Bought it on Amazon. Comes with different attachment pieces. Mine works fine no issues.

I have had the antenna a few days now. Today was the most that I have gotten to use it, had some static on the station that I was listening to that I did not have from the stock one. I mostly use XM so I think that I is still going to work out well for me. I kept my stock antenna so I can change back to it If I ever get ride of XM.
