Was thinking the reducer to TB would absorb some flex. I'm going to rethink the intake pipe mount to TB...guess that's why 4firemandan used the cone filter with a seal around on the pipe to box.

There probably is some flex in the reducer, hard to say if it is enough. Reducer usually has play one way but not the other. Offset reducer has little play if any at all.

I noticed wear lines on my PS 4.5" intake when I had it installed. Probably about 1/4" to 1/2" of play, possibly more twist if you are going zero to WOT a lot. The other issue is if the seal doesn't crack and holds it can work the intake couplers apart over time. Edit: In my case was on the TB side.

In my first attempt I ended up using a hump coupler but I don't recall seeing a hump reducer. I think I ended up keeping it on the filter side since my filter basically fills most of the box.

Man...when it rains it pours. Put my back out trying to get the grass cut before the rain sets in. Started getting the chills, frickin in bed with cold and heating pad.
And the cherry on top is the intake is off by 18-20 deg. SABM lifted rear corner of lid. Have to get it re welded. I failed the fabricator skill test. Double triple check.

Guy from a few hours north showed up today with a long traveled Tundra and @reywcms old supercharger! Installing the blower plus the Sniv Speed Shop pulley, full Prospeed fuel system, integrating it all into a huge fuel cell, RCF throttle body, and then tuning it. Might even have it done tomorrow since in the last 5 hours got everything pulled off and now in the reinstallation phase.

    Getting there!

    PXL_20231021_025535212.jpg

    PXL_20231021_041239445.jpg

Dude spent all day working on the fuel cell and integrating the stock sending unit into it and I've been up front. Prospeed continues to be unimpressive. Dude ordered a custom fuel line kit because of the fuel cell so it needed to be longer, which took them like 3 months to fulfill somehow and then ended up sending him lines for the stock tank. So between my bin of AN fittings and grabbing the return line off my racecar I'll be able to make it work, but what a pain in the ass. If I didn't happen to have hardware the truck wouldn't be able to move until getting parts on Tuesday or Wednesday. Additionally, as usual the Prospeed "750" injectors need ghetto harnesses to work, and then the Prospeed fuel rails (which are very nice machined parts I will say) don't have any mounting for the fuel injector harness which is kind of janky imo. Oh and the fuel regulator mounting solution from Prospeed is janky AF so I cut out my own mount on the plasma table, and then there's no mount for the fuel filter because it's supposed to just get zip tied to the frame? So I'll have to fix that too. All of their shit feels so half assed.

Anyways :D if we don't finish it tomorrow something is majorly wrong. Install intercooler, build an intake, install AFR gauge, and get the fuel cell hooked up to the lines.

I feel like if I, a non-professional, can spot inadequacy in someone's product who does it professionally, then something is majorly wrong. Like I don't claim to be a welder, but if my welds are better than a professional welder something is majorly wrong. Of course that is cost dependent to some extent, but Prospeed has no excuse since they are charging major bucks for all this stuff.

Insane dude. But we’ve said it time and time again. Can’t wait to hear his reactions of the blower. He was sold after a ride in mine during our baja run. You guys are crushing it

I'm hoping the new short block shows up next week. We have decided to remove the cab to install the short block, we will have a ton of room to work with, it will make the header install that much easier.

You can definitely save money making your own fuel lines and correct for any short comings. Yeah, that is janky zip tying the fuel filter. Easy to just put a piece of flatstock between frame to mount it. Doing awesome work as usual.

Pulling the engine is not so bad. Putting it in with the windshield so close to the flywheel.

Picked up and unboxed! Now it's a waiting game on getting my Speed 3 back together and out of 5he garage... had to get new shifter cables, stock ones seized up. Once that's done the Tundra is going under!

At least the TB snout appears to be larger than 76mm. Just curious @ARES35 what is the throttle body ID? Thanks
