Bumpershellz surround with TRD Grille on SR5

I’ve been a lurker for awhile now and appreciate this community.

I ordered the Bumpershellz surround to match my white 2020 SR5. I was thinking of getting the OEM TRD grille. I understand that will come white on the side and bottom.

Does anyone know if I can simply use the bulge overlay from Bumpershellz for the part the new grille doesn’t cover, and then all the chrome will be gone? Thanks much.

 

The hood bulge is on the hood, the grille surround is the piece around the grille.

If you ordered overlays from bumpershellz, it doesn't matter if you have a chrome part or a painted part that you are covering. They are the same shape and size. Hope that makes sense.

Also know, if you get the Pro Grille you will need the sensor cover for it which is another couple hundred from Toyota.

 

If the grille you are ordering comes with the grille surround piece painted white then you don't need to cover it.

The only remaining chrome would be the bulge on the hood. Looks like ecological will let you order that piece alone but you have specify it in your order.

Edit: If they don't let you special order the bulge you are better off getting the color matched OEM piece. You can find one for sale for under $200 or lower.

 

It sounds like you are splurging for the color matched grille surround.

If so, splurge for the color matched bulge too.

Do it right the first time.
