I welded a longer draw bar on the camping trailer so my swing out will clear everything. That boat I tow is a tad to close, if I’m at a angle it can’t clear, but straight behind it’s mint.

Thats what i was gonna ask, how long of a ?2.5"? bar could i run?

i've drug longer campers. Even have a set of mirrors that strap to my mirrors. I always know how to have clearance, but as far as strength, say a 9" hitch vs an 18" hitch? 36" hitch? How does that math?

Anybody ever towed a Ridgeline on a 16ft lowboy? Curious how one would fit. I hauled my AC on one no problem.

Hahah are you measuring from the base or where? I’d have to go out after breakfast……for dinner; and measure draw bar to, let’s say the point of the original tongue, or to the face of the trailer box border?

Got the struts swapped on the camry today. Everything went well, no broken bolts or anything which was surprising.

Just gotta change the oil and replace the outlet line on the washer tank and I think it's ready for another winter.

You may want to reconsider that idea. That's an OEM only part.

Feel like a double cab might hang off the back of the trailer too much. Here's the AC on it:

From what I read, she exited the vehicle before the moment in the video (was ejected, did not casually step out of it), but yes she survived. Once they had arrived at the peak, the driver (her boyfriend/husband/whatever) hopped out to get a pic, without the parking brake being set, so he watched it roll off the edge with her in it. What a dick.
Just my irrelevant opinion, but gawd damn those are ugly. Still. and forever

Just the chalky white paint. I felt like I basically buffed it when I washed it since the water in the bucket was white.

Right I get it. It's been roughly 8mo, I'm not wheelin out in Utah or challenging the susp in any way, but I understand the risk..... Dammit, NOW i'm going to be thinking about it hahaha.
So all the OEM are of the NEW quality? When it's time I'll ask you guys for the #PN. FWIW, I'm looking for another FGT... one that hasn't been mangled by the PO, that's the ONLY reason Ide ever sell this thing.

no Mods... has new headlights and some dings on the side... just purchased a dent puller and Bilstein 5100's for it..... absolutely love it in the 2 weeks I've owned it...

I checked with a local paint shop and they quoted me 9k for a paint job.... and they also said they couldn't do it.... lol it would tie their shop up for too long... guess they are cranking out insurance work.... hmmm.
and the guy he 'would' recommend is engaged in his last paint job.... dying trade!
I would totally do a Royal purple or Periwinkle or dark Lavender on my truck... it justs screams I'm secure with my masculinity!!

I also think the new 2024 Corvette colors would look incredible on these... my first choice is Accelerant Yellow which has a greenish hue.... brilliant stunning color! Also the Cacti Green... equally brilliant... Sorry I guess I"m rambling on like a teenage girl at a slumber party.... lol

My daughter calls that color “Golbeige”. Her one request when getting a car at 16 was, not golbeige. That old people champagne / silver mix. Fair enough.

Wife had the exact same car when we met, but in green. Grandparent kick-down. She got t-boned in it hard. Insurance opted to fix instead of total, even with considerably significant b-pillar damage (saw pics). That thing just kept going and going and going. Traded for an Accord eventually, then went back to Toyota with the next vehicle, much happier.

That paint will buff out easily. But you’ll want two or three pads so you can rotate them in/out as they get loaded up and need cleaning out to be used again. My truck was equally as-bad.

All I read here is “I’m willing to sell someone a ticking timbomb that may end their life”. Have you seen any of the in-motion LBJ fail shots on here? Someone posted one within the last couple of weeks (we’ve seen a few now) and the truck ping-ponged around on the interstate, slammed into a wall, looked like it’d rolled once or twice. LBJ fail is serious bidness, you cool with knowing you’re selling something that could prematurely end whoever buys it? That’s crazy bro!

All new OEM are more-stout. Get fresh bolts. Use thread lock (blue) and torque to spec. Mark your final bolt position and check for deviation at 100, 500, 1k miles then at your oil changes.

“Accidentally” forgot to set the brake. Riiiiight. More like someone wanted to get rid of their SO and make it look like an accident. I hope she left him after that!

    Not quite what was reported.

"Rhodes was on Black Bear Pass with her boyfriend, Rich Saler, when he stopped to help an off-roader behind him, who had just bought a new Jeep.

Saler shut the Jeep off, engaged the emergency brake and stepped out of the Jeep to help the off-roader behind him.But the Jeep began sliding off the road, carrying Rhodes and her dog, Becker, and Saler’s dog, Ripley, with it.

Rhodes estimated the Jeep tumbled 20 times before she was ejected"

No explanation for how it started sliding though? Maybe it's that steep there? Sounds sketchy. She's lucky to be alive.

Bought new OEM bolts when I installed current bj/did locktite them. Old ones were a mix match of bolts, and had max 5ftlbs of torque, a couple were nearly just finger tight. I had driven the truck for several months. Your advice is appreciated, Your points are valid Shifty.

The majority of production shops do not like to complete the "all over" paint jobs because they do take a considerable time to complete when painting the correct way by detriming the entire vehicle. Usually about a month when bouncing between the all over paint job and other production repairs in process. Plus on our older vehicles a lot of the exterior trim parts become one-time-use and require replacement which can hold up the process even longer. (please please don't use MAACO).
